Typically, a tummy tuck is used because of sagging skin after pregnancy or after significant weight loss, and abdominal hernia. You get rid of excess skin and subcutaneous fat by liposuction and conducting complex procedures aimed at toning of abdominal muscles.

The conditions necessary for a successful tummy tuck

The basic condition for a successful conduct of any kind of plastic surgery, including abdominoplasty, is the absence of any disease immediately before the operation (this also applies to respiratory diseases). At the preparatory stage before the operation, not less than 10 days, you need to stop taking any medications that thin the blood. You should also refrain from smoking for at least 10 days prior to surgery, and a month and a half after the operation. Immediately prior to surgery (two days before) you must also restrict calorie intake and drink plenty of fluids. On the day of surgery, you can not eat and drink.

  2. Crissi says:

You look amazing! Glad you’re moving so well! I am doing ok. Not nearly as good as you I don’t think lol. I found a lump in my right boob this morning. May be scar tissue, or the implant I dunno. But it’s kinda sore. I see the dr next week so I’m just waiting it out. I’m not taking pain meds anymore though I will be taking a sleeping aid from now on until I can sleep on my side again. I’m tired, and my neck/back ache but besides that all in all I really can’t complain. Thanks for asking =]

Chrissie how long ago was you’re op ? I woke up on my side this morning was a bit scared to move at first but seemed ok. Yeah it seems to tell on other parts if the body the back is bad enough . Soon we will forget the pain won’t we , but it’s nice for us women to have a good moan together. Was at my friends house earlier and much as they ask and truely care I don’t want to be on about it all the time to them

My right side boob was kind of tender lately. It seems like it moved down a little lower. I stuck my hand in my bra and pressed a little. I felt a little bump, so I pressed a little harder, and it kinda hurt, but it also like moves/clicks.. What do you think? Is it the implant? Scar tissue? A mass? I see my dr next week, should I call or let it go for now? I know I’m not even 2 weeks PO, (I am 13 days) it all just worries me.

  5. Judi says:

  12. Leycei says:

Did any of you have panniculetomy? Is two weeks enough time off for desk job?

  13. Julia says:

You should be fine after two weeks. My doc said i didnt need myscle repair and today i still believe that i never got it cause i do not have a perfectly flat stomach even though he says he gave me muscle repair. So therefore without muscle repair it is considered a panniculetomy. I would have been fine after to weeks to return to desk job. I would just be careful when you twist around in your chair. And take it easy when u go from sitting to stand up position. You may need to get up and walk around more to keep your self from cramping up. I am now a year and a half post op tummy tuck.

  14. Leycei says:

Ok tks. I’m getting a panniculetomy

  15. Julia says:
