What is a hybrid tummy tuck?
Am I a candidate for a hybrid Tummy Tuck,
You have so little skin excess and so little fat I am wondering why you want to do anything. Did someone tell you a 3cm diastasis needs to be repaired?
That would certainly be bad and erroneous advice. I think for the thousands you will spend, the recovery, the scar and the risk of surgery you have VERY LITTLE to gain and it is possible to lead a normal and fully active life with what is a very small diastasis. (Ronald V. DeMars, MD, Portland Plastic Surgeon)
A muscle repair can be done through a small tummy tuck incision
Your abdomen looks excellent from your photographs however if the split muscle really bothers you then it can be repaired without a hip to hip scar.
Please consult and experienced a board certified plastic surgeon who is willing to do this difficult procedure. Excellent results can be obtained if you find the proper surgeon. (Brooke R. Seckel, MD, FACS, Boston Plastic Surgeon)
Am I a candidate for a hybrid Tummy Tuck, as I do not think I’m willing to have a hip-to-hip scar?
Over the internet very hard to advise you because you are on the border line. So only IN PERSON examinations would allow a definitive diagnosis. (Darryl J. Blinski, MD, Miami Plastic Surgeon)
A consult for hybrid tummy tuck is needed
There are options for you that can improve the contour without a hip bone to hip bone incision. I smaller incision like a C-section scar or a combination of an umbilical incision can give the ability to perform a plication. Liposuction can also be performed at the same time. (Robert Whitfield, MD, FACS, Austin Plastic Surgeon)
Mini tummy tuck
Based on your photos I think you would be an ideal candidate for a limited incision tummy tuck. Your skin elasticity looks fine and your main issue is muscle laxity. You should be able to get a good result from a procedure with a smallish supra pubic incision and muscle tightening. (Terrence Murphy, MD, Englewood Plastic Surgeon)
