Botox in upper lip
Mar 29, 2016
Mar 29, 2016
Botox in the upper lip can help accentuate the natural white roll that separates the pink part of the lip from the skin part of the lip, which is pleasing. Only small amounts are used, which some patients love and some patients hate. It can make it hard to drink with a straw, for example. It does not prevent trout pout, however. That is related to the amount and technique of filler placement.

Pre-wedding skin care

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I like to surgically remove small chicken pox scars, but fillers are another option that can temporarily pop out scars without surgery. Filler and physical activity

Feb 20, 2016
The swelling associated with filler usually gets worse before getting better, so your symptoms are common and may be unrelated to your activity. Try frozen vegetables and sleeping upright and/or in a recliner. One cc of filler per cheek is very reasonable.
I had botox 3 days ago in my forehead. I’m getting a massage tomorrow, can my forehead be massaged?
Botox and massage

Feb 20, 2016
Absolutely. You should be safe to receive a massage in the same area of Botox injection by the 3 days. The medication gets to the site of action in approximately 30 minutes.
How can I get rid of a 2 year old acne scar?
Acne scars
Feb 1, 2016
Feb 1, 2016
Elevated acne scars can occasionally be improved with lasers (ablative or non-ablative fractional depending on tolerance for down time) and injections of Kenalog along with silicone sheets/gel immediately afterwards. Fresh scars respond better, but older scars still respond. Unfortunately, however, nothing can completely erase the scar.
Any suggestions for raised acne scar?
Acne scars and active acne
Jan 21, 2016
Jan 21, 2016
Unfortunately, active acne and scarring acne usually requires the help of a dermatologist. They can inject a small amount of dilute cortisone into the lesion to make it shrink down. Massaging acne scars rarely gives noticeable results.
Undoing a bad hyaluronic job?
Removing filler in the lips
Jan 17, 2016
Jan 17, 2016
Hyaluronic acid is a medication that can be injected into the lump of filler to dissolve it. Sometimes it takes more than one injection session, but it should break up the Restylane and cause the bump to flatten.
