There are several suggestions I would make. First a retinoid is very helpful as well as a beta-hydroxyacid such as salicylic acid or lipohydroxy acid since they are able to penetrate into the sebaceous gland. The vast majority of post-accutane flushing is simply residual redness from the acne which has been treated or dryness associated with accutance treatment. This generally resolves pretty quickly in most patients within one to two months post-accutane. However, if flushing continues it may be due to the onset of another very common condition such as rosacea.

Although going on a course of accutane involves visits, bloodwork and potential side effects you have already been on it.  In my experience patients who have gone on a second course of accutane had a much easier time with fewer side effects than they had with their first course.  The problem with taking vitamin A capsules is that it can lead to toxicity and there is no protocol with dosage and blood monitoring,  I would not recommend taking vitamin A capsules instead of Accutane.
