Should I keep taking Doxycycline if I don’t have acne anymore?
Taper off

Taking a medication you don’t need opens you up to side effects without any benefits. If you don’t have any active acne, you probably can be maintained with topical medications. I am an advocate of not stopping the antibiotics cold turkey. I like to wean off of them so as not to cause any flares. You can talk with your dermatologist about going to doxycycline 100mg every other day for a few weeks before stopping. Hope this helps!
How can I clear up these red acne marks (PIE) left over after a major breakout?
Acutane/isotretinoin

There is only one answer to this question, you need acutane! These deep red, inflammatory lesions may scar and as such, require a serious treatment option. Your dermatologist should also consider starting you on a low dose of prednisone when starting the acutane.
Flesh-colored acne that won’t come to surface, or possibly cyst or something else?
may not be acne

These bumps may not be acne and probably need to be seen by a dermatologist. They may be small milial cysts or perhaps a type of growth called a syringoma. These can sometimes be treated with a face peel or a laser.
For your acne, you should also ask your dermatologist about other treatment options. Using an antibiotic daily for four years is a very long time. There are many other options for you!

When can I take my minocycline for acne after mono?
Probably okay to restart

The rash following mononucleosis classically occurs after taking a penicillin-type antibiotic (like amoxicillin or ampicillin). Minocycline is a tetracycline antibiotic, and while it can cause a rash, unlikely to have an effect with mono. If you want to be safe, wait one more week, then restart. Hope this helps!
