Your immediate goals and ability to loose weight both need to be considered. In light of your pcos and the difficulty of losing weight with a lifestyle change (hard to do with pcos) and your wish for a pregnancy in the future, liposuction is a reasonable compromise.
The understanding that your body will change and you will likely want to plan for full midsection contouring ( tummy tucks) after your done with children is important.
One or multiple in person consultations with American board of plastic surgery certified surgeons in Chicago would be a great place to start. (David Shifrin, MD, Nashville Plastic Surgeon)
It’s hard to answer specifically with the photos you’ve provided. You have a few things going on here. What about diet and exercise?
Consider what a pregnancy will do to your belly wall. Maybe consider the procedures after the pregnancy and get a great one time improvement.
I would seek out a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area, he/she will be able to help you understand your options and together you can make the correct choice for you. (Stephen M. Davis, MD, FACS, Charlotte Plastic Surgeon)
If you plan on having children, I can almost guarantee that you will eventually need a tummy tucks. Having a bunch of liposuction now may make that surgery more dangerous from a blood supply issue if the liposuction is too aggressive.
That being said, liposuction will not improve you the way you would want it to now anyhow. Good old diet and exercise for now, have your children, then get back down in weight and have your tummy tuck.
You will be doing things the right way and get a MUCH better result. And save yourself your some money. (J. Garrett Harper, MD, Chicago Plastic Surgeon)
Liposuction, tummy tucks, or both?
Given your information and the pictures, it is hard to give specific advice. However, liposuction should be considered as an option if you cannot improve your trunk area with diet and exercise. An in-person consultation would be the best place to start. (Karol A. Gutowski, MD, FACS, Dominican Republic Plastic Surgeon)
Liposuction Vs. Tummy tucks
The pics are not so good, as they are really small, but it appears you would need a combination of both lip and tummy tuck. As you can see from your side pic, your abdomen is quite bulged, so your abdominal muscles have lost it’s tone.
The tummy tuck will give you a flat tummy, but liposuction will give you a wonderful waistline and get rid of the fat rolls n your back. The harvested fat may be used to give better contour and projection to your buttocks. As for having kids, if you have a tummy tuck you should wait at least 4 years to do so, and keep in mind that when you get pregnant you may loose some of the benefits of the tummy tuck. (Jose A. Leon, MD, San Diego Plastic Surgeon)
