In my earlier years I worked in the banking industry and then my entrepreneurial spirit lead me to own a restaurant as well as a few other business endeavors. I have had an esthetic career for over 20 years which included 3 years of teaching. I enjoy family, dancing, being out in nature, long walks and the Arts.

Biography: Kelly Rockvam, Director & R.N., oversees all aspects of the Okanagan Skin Care Centre. She has received extensive specialized training in plastic surgery nursing, tissue fillers, and dermatology. She has been actively involved in the study and application of professional skin care and treatments since 1996.

The Okanagan Skin Care Centre was established in 1996 and is the Valley’s oldest established centre of its kind.

Biography: Denita Anderson RN, was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and has grown up and raised her family in Kelowna. She received her Nursing Education through Okanagan College, and her Critical Care Certification through BCIT.

She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1989, worked at Kelowna General Hospital, prior to coming to the Okanagan Skin Care Centre in 2005. She has received extensive training in Skin Care since joining the clinic. She is certified and performs all the technologies and treatments that are offered at the Okanagan Skin Care Centre including injectables (Botox and fillers), laser treatments, chemical peels, and pharmaceutical skin care products.

Name: Kimberly Sawatzky

Biography: As a member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists, Kimberly has received training and certification throughout Canada and the US. This includes all aspects of what the Okanagan Skin Care Centre has to offer. These include tissue fillers, Botox, lasers, Thermage and a large variety of other skin care needs. Kimberly has been nursing since 1991. Her nursing experience includes extensive training as an operating room RN.

Kimberly has lived in Kelowna since 1993 with her husband. She has two grown sons which are her pride and joy. She loves her pets, cycling, and the outdoors.

Biography: Anne graduated as a registered nurse in 1996. She has worked in Phoenix and Seattle as an Operating Room Nurse. In 1999 Anne moved to Kelowna and worked in the O.R. at the Kelowna General Hospital as well as the Okanagan Health Surgical Centre. During this time, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UBC Okanagan. Anne has now joined the team at the Okanagan Skin Care Centre with many years of experience.

During Anne’s free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is an avid horse lover, riding and spending time with her own horses as much as possible. Anne also finds pleasure working in the garden and reading a good book.

Biography: Tanya is one of our Registered Nurse/Skin Care Specialists. She is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Degree through the University of Victoria in 1998. Tanya has spent much of her 18-year Nursing career in the Operating Room at the Kelowna General Hospital and is now part of our team.

Most of Tanya’s free time is spent with her two teenaged children. Her hobbies include travel, singing, camping, and hockey.

Biography: Christie is one of our Registered Nurse/Skin Care Specialists. She is a member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skincare Specialists. Christie obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Degree through UBCO. She has specialized in Critical Care and worked in ICU as well as the Recovery Room at the Kelowna General Hospital. We are excited to have her as part of our team now.

Christie was born in Kelowna and enjoys spending time with her two children. She likes the Okanagan’s hiking hot spots as well as the wineries. She also enjoys Yoga.
