In a 73 year old it is likely that surgery will be required to correct the signs of aging including ptotic skin, descended far pads and platysmal bands. Botox can paralyze muscles and help with excessive animation – causing platysmal bands. This is one of the hardest things for us as patients- to have patience! In this era of Facebook, cell phones and instantmessages it’s hard to remember that healing requires time! From these photos it is difficult to be certain what is going on, but it is usually too soon to tell at only 2 weeks post-op.
