Hi, as long as you do not have any complications we tell our patients after a month post op you can return to all regular activities. Make sure to listen to your body if you start and it does not feel right I would not do the activity or take it very easy.

You are still very fresh out of surgery you will experience pain and discomfort sometimes up to 2 weeks. If you are experiencing severe pain please make sure to contact your surgeon. We tell patients to allow up to 3 months for swelling to go down and implants drop into place.

Hello, most patients will experience pain and discomfort for up to 2 weeks after Liposuction. After that the pain should get better. However, the swelling will take longer to go down. We usually say to allow 3 months for swelling to go down and everything be back to normal.

We ask our patients to wear the garment all the time for the first month. After that we ask the patient to wear at night for 3 weeks. We often find that at first the patient will not like the garment and feel very uncomfortable. Later to find out that they feel more comfortable in it and wear it longer than needed.

In our practice we see this is a common and great question. It depends on how much fat vs. loose skin you may have. With most tummy tucks the surgeon will do a little bit of liposuction anyway to give the patient the desired result. A lot of the time a patient would like liposuction of the abdomen and we let them know that they may not get the desired result from liposuction of the abdomen vs tummy tuck.

You are defintly going to need to take some time off from fitness routine to allow for a great ending result and no complications.  After surgery I ask my patints to refrain from lifting anything over ten pounds and allow the patient to return to normal activity a month out from surgery.  Give you body time to rest and heal correctly.

Yes, it is absolutely possible to be back at work within a week from surgery.  Several of my patients will have surgery on a Wednesday or Thursday recover over the weekend and be back at work on Monday.  I do ask my patients to take it easy and to not lift anything over 10 pounds for a month post operative.
