What are my options for bad rippling after pre-pec surgery and can I go smaller?
Reconstruction Revision and Rippling
Oct 21, 2019
Thank you for your questions and photos.
As mentioned by other physicians, it is impossible to give you a good answer without examining you. The option for rippling for a pre-pectoral location include fat grafting, addition of allograft and form stable implants. All of these options have their own pros and cons. You could downsize but will may need skin envelope adjustment/lift for optimal aesthetic results. Please see you board certified plastic surgeon for a...
Would I be able to get better results with a second breast lift with implants surgery?
Revision Breast Lift with Implants
Oct 15, 2019
Thank you for your questions and photos.
I do think that your breasts could be further lifted with a full breast lift using a variation of the lollipop incision. Your implant can be moved up and more supported in that position by using that incision. Of course, you need to be seen by your board certified plastic surgeon for a full evaluation and thorough discussion about the risk, benefits and realistic expectations.
Good luck.
Would I qualify for a tummy tuck if I am 31 years old and have had two c-sections?
Tummy Tuck Candidate
Oct 9, 2019
Thank you for your question and pictures.
Your history and pictures suggest that you maybe a candidate for a mini tummy tuck. A mini tummy tuck is where we make an incision below your C-section scar similar in length to the previous incision and remove a small amount of loose skin. Then, we repair the muscle and reattach your belly button to its previous location. Please see your board certified plastic surgeon to discuss if you are a good candidate for the procedure...
Should I get full or extra full profile in my revision?
Breast Implant Revision
Oct 9, 2019
Thank you for your question and pictures.
As other people have mentioned, you should have a thorough discussion with your board certified plastic surgeon about your desired results. Considering you want less upper pole projection, high profile will usually be able to accomplish that better than extra high profile. Be sure to take your goal picture to your surgeon and discuss potential outcomes. Good Luck.
Do you think I need a full TT or FDL for best results?
Tummy Tuck vs. FDL
Oct 8, 2019
Thank you for your question and pictures.
Based on your pictures you are a good candidate for either a full tummy tuck or a FDL tummy tuck. A FDL tummy tuck will be able to take out the maximum amount of skin in one procedure. However, it results in a mid-line scar. The other option could include a full tummy tuck plus other body contouring procedures to maximize skin removal. As you can see, there are multiple option that your board certified plastic surgeon can discuss with you
How would I fix this animation and is it normal?
Breast Animation Deformity
Oct 7, 2019
Thank you for your questions and pictures.
What you're describing sounds like animation deformity. A certain number of people after breast augmentation do describe this phenomena. One of the solutions is changing the plane of your implant from below the muscle to above the muscle. Your board certified plastic surgeon can discuss the pros and cons of placing the implant above the muscle. Either above or below muscle implant placement have their own sets of risks and benefits. Good Luck.
Will BodyTite get rid of my cellulite and shape my legs without scars, bruising and downtime?
BodyTite
Mar 19, 2019
Thank you for your questions and photos. BodyTite is a great procedure for contouring the body while minimizing the scars and downtime of traditional surgery. Unfortunately, cellulite is a difficult problem and there is no perfect treatment to completely eradicate it. Tightening the skin and underlying tissue through BodyTite is one approach. In order to access the fatty layer under the skin, small puncture incisions need to made and they leave a few tiny scars. Downtime and bruising...
How long after the removal of skin cancer on the lower eyelid will I have to wait for any reconstructi
Reconstruction after skin cancer
Mar 19, 2019
Thank you for your question. Skin cancer surgery can be done in multiple ways. Sometimes, an excision and immediate closure is sufficient. Other times, a MOHS surgery or delayed reconstruction is necessary in order to confirm that all the cancer has been resected. Many times the approach taken is dependant on several factors such as the type of cancer, the location of the cancer, your health, etc. After a MOHS procedure for basal cell carcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma, we will close...
Do I need a regular tummy tuck or an extended tummy tuck?
Regular vs. Extended Tummy Tuck
Mar 19, 2019
Thank you for your question and photo. While pictures are not sufficient in evaluating a patient for a tummy tuck, you do appear to be a great candidate for a tummy tuck. The difference between a regular tummy tuck and an extended tummy tuck is simply about the size of the incision. Some patients get great results with an incision from slightly inside each hip and low in the pubic area. Others may need a longer incision in order to obtain maximum results. I don’t normally d...
5 weeks post op. I have a desk job. When can I sit normally?
Liposuction and Compression Garments
Mar 19, 2019
Thank you for your questions. Compression garments are used after liposuction for several reasons. They aid in reducing swelling, they offer support to the affected area, and they help stabilize the area while healing and adhesion are taking place. Wearing compression for the first six weeks after a procedure is recommended to help maximize your results. If you have limited range of motion or problems sitting at your desk, you should contact your plastic surgeon to follow up on your...
What are you thoughts on liposuction and/or tummy tuck for me?
Lipo or Tummy tuck
Oct 9, 2018
Thank you for your question and pictures.
Liposuction versus abdominoplasty is a decision that's best made after having a physical examination and then discussing your expectations with your plastic surgeon. As a general rule, a young person who has not been pregnant and has good skin quality can get good contour with liposuction. Liposuction results can be enhanced with BodyTite technology (RFAL).
Please see a board certified plastic surgeon who can discuss realistic...
Is there some way of covering up the muscle beneath the skin such as fillers, fat, another implant? (p
Animation Deformity
Sep 19, 2018
Thank you for your question and pictures.
Your pictures likely depict something called animation deformity where the muscle is visible underneath your skin. This is a common problem when the implant is placed below the muscle in thin patients for breast reconstruction. As mentioned previously, the treatment options broadly include placing your muscle in its original position and putting the implant on top of the muscle, with or without fat grafting. Fat grafting alone...
Will removal of submuscular saline breast implants, without capsule removal, correct animation deformi
Animation Deformity
Aug 22, 2018
Thank you for your question.
Animation deformity has many etiologies. It could be related to your implant position (above or below the muscle) or the amount of muscle cut in the process of placing your implant. Therefore, it is difficult to give you a more definitive answer without history and a physical exam. Please see you board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation to discuss your options.
Do I need a breast lift in addition to implants?
Breast Lift with Implants
Aug 22, 2018
Thank you for your questions and pictures.
Considering the location of your nipples, especially the right one and your desire for higher nipple position, a breast lift with augmentation is probably the optimal solution. As always, a full evaluation with a physical exam and history will help your plastic surgeon provide you with the best solutions. A breast lift with augmentation does carry a higher risk of complications but your board certified plastic surgeon will be able to...
The best option to repair bottomed out implant as well as animation?
Augmentation Revision Options
Aug 2, 2018
Thank you for your question and photos.
You have a complicated case but options are available. As you have mentioned, you do have bottoming out on the right side. A revision surgery with allograft, Strattice or other dermal matrix to support the inferior portion of the breast is likely to give you the best chance of success. Animation deformities can be difficult to correct without changing the implant from below the muscle to above the muscle, which carries its own set of...
