Of the procedures you outlined, the nipple reconstruction would most likely have to be done last, as a separate procedure, once everything else has healed and you are happy with your breast size and shape. Thank you for the question. Yes, it is quite normal to have some intermittent pains such as the one you are describing one month out from breast reduction. It can take several months for the nerves to heal. So even though the incisions on the outside appear to be healed, there is still a lot of healing that is going on internally and in the tissues.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, contour abnormalities are the most common complication after liposuction. If these areas are present after several months, it is not likely that they will fill out over time. Contour irregularities can be very difficult to fix. In some cases, fat can be grafted back into the areas, but you should discuss this with your surgeon to see if it is an option. Best of luck.

Breast reduction may be reasonable for anyone who perceives their breast size to be too large and has symptoms such as neck pain, back pain, grooving in the shoulders where the bra straps touch, and rashes under the breasts. It is common for the breast reduction incisions to separate like this. In most cases, washing the open wounds with soap and water daily and covering them with a non-stick dressing such as adaptic or Vaseline gauze is all that is needed. If there is excess drainage and/or redness around the open wound, infection may be present and the wounds should be inspected by a physician.

I am deeply sorry to hear that you have lost sensation in your nipples following your breast reduction. It is common for sensation to be altered immediately following surgery. In most cases, sensation may return, at least partially, but this may take several months. Sadly, if there’s little sensation in the area and the surgery was more than 18 months ago, no amount of stimulation, including nipple piercing is likely to bring sensation back to the area.
