Laser liposuction damages the fat cells so we would not transfer fat to other areas with this procedure. Dr. Malek would perform conventional liposuction for a fat transfer. Common areas to transfer fat to are the face, breasts and buttocks.
What removes more fat cells out of laser lipo or tubular liposuction?

Both conventional liposuction and smart liposuction are good procedures to remove fat cells. SmartLipo has limits as to how much fat can be removed in one setting. There is no guarantee fat won’t return to those areas with either procedure. This is why it is so important to exercise and eat healthy to maintain your results. Generally speaking, fat goes to where fat is so the areas of suction have less chance of developing fat again but there is no guarantee.
Can I lift weights 2 weeks after laser lipo? I’m a 27 year old male.

This should be addressed by your physician. Typically, we recommend no weightlifting or heavy duty exercise for 3-4 weeks. I would follow your surgeon’s advise on these concerns.

Your best option would be SmartLipo. We perform SmartLipo with conscious sedation and local anesthesia. We can address all your areas of concern but it would need to be down in a couple of procedures. We would recommend you have your hips and lumbar areas during one procedure and then 1-2 weeks later perform SmartLipo on the abdomen and medial thighs. The advantage of SmartLipo is that it delivers a degree of tightening to the areas in addition to removing the fat.

Schedule an appointment with either a dermatologist for licensed aesthetician and they will get you started on a skin care regimen (I recommend ZO Skin Health) that will be customized for your skin type.
