Most likely a full abdominoplasty will be best
I agree that a full abdominoplasty will likely be best to give you the tightest most contoured abdomen possible. Liposuction alone, using a procedure like Vaser Liposuction, would take off inches and you would fit better in your clothes, but you would still have some skin laxity and of course the muscle would not be tightened with just liposuction. For some people liposuction would be adequate if they are trying to avoid a larger procedure and the scar associated with an abdominoplasty. You mention that a main concern of yours is the overhang, so probably only a full abdominoplasty will give you the result you ae looking for. A mini-abdominoplasty is very unlikely to give you the tightening you desire. (Jeffrey Hartog, MD, Orlando Plastic Surgeon)
Best tummy tuck after 2 babies
I’d strongly suggest you get back down to a size 8/10 before having a tummy tuck -first, to keep up the weight loss (surgery disrupts it a lot)and second for your general health for your children. Then you will get the best possible result from your tummy tuck. From the photos, you look as though you will need a full tummy tuck. A mini will disappoint you a lot. (Elizabeth Morgan, MD, PhD, Atlanta Plastic Surgeon)
Body Contour After C-Sections and Weight Loss
Most people who have lost a significant amount of weight would benefit from muscle tightening and removal of stretched out skin that only a full tummy tuck can provide.
You will find you have a better waist line and improvement of adjacent areas like the upper thigh. The new contour you will gain will help you to enjoy the hard work you’ve put in to loose the weight. (Mary Lee Peters, MD, Seattle Plastic Surgeon)
Tummy tuck best option after pregnancy and weight loss
Given your history a full abdominoplasty is your best option. Liposuction will not shrink the skin enough even with laser, but lipo could be part of the procedure for contouring the waistline. A mini tummy tuck will improve only the lower abdomen. (Richard Baxter, MD, Seattle Plastic Surgeon)
