Tummy tuck incision opening up – What Should I Do?

Each plastic surgeon has his or her own techniques for dealing with this type of wound healing problem. The good news is that the wound does not appear to be too deep, and with appropriate care should heal relatively rapidly. (S. Larry Schlesinger, MD, FACS, Honolulu Plastic Surgeon)
It is not unusual to have some wound seperation after a tummy tuck depending on the amount of tissue that was removed. Everything is appropriate and would closely follow your surgeon’s recommendation as he/she knows you best. Recommend staying away from smokers and continue the good intake of vitamins to maximize your healing. (Allen Gabriel, MD, FACS, Portland Plastic Surgeon)
