Mini-abdominoplasty vs. standard abdominoplasty
Based on your photograph you are not a good candidate for a mini-abdomionplasty. You are a better candidate for a traditional abdominoplasty.
You may wan to wait until you are finished having children before tummy tuck surgery. (Jeffrey Zwiren, MD, Atlanta Plastic Surgeon)
You neded a full tummy tuck. Anything else will just disappoint you. Full tummy tuck will effectively flatten and tighten your stomach, remove excess skin and sculpt your shape.
For best outcome liposuction of waist will also be required. (Vasdev Rai, MD, Dallas Plastic Surgeon)
The skin laxity and what appears to be separation of your rectus muscles signify you probably need a full tummy tuck maybe with some lateral liposuction. A mini would not give you the results you expect. (Constance M. Barone, MD, San Antonio Plastic Surgeon)
Would you recommend a mini or full Tummy Tuck?
Absolutely avoid the mini TT under any circumstances. You need the full TT, but not until you are totally sure there will not be more babies in your future. (Ronald V. DeMars, MD, Portland Plastic Surgeon)
Full or mini Tummy Tuck
The pouch that you are referring to is most likely due to the separation of your stomach muscles which occurs after having children. Most of my patients need a full tummy tuck due to the same issue. If you only remove the excess skin, it will not solve the problem of your protruding stomach.
I would recommend a full tummy to get the results that you are looking for based on the photos that you sent. An experienced plastic surgeon will be able to tell during the exam whether or not you have muscle separation. (Mark E. Mason, MD, Dallas Plastic Surgeon)
Full Tummy Tuck
It looks like you would be a good candidate for a full tummy tuck with possible liposuction to effectively address your loose skin, some stretch marks and waistline. However, for a better evaluation please see a board certified plastic surgeon in person. Best of luck. (Jerome Edelstein, MD, Toronto Plastic Surgeon)
You appear to be a good candidate for a full tummy tuck. A mini tummy tuck will probably not be worth the money or recovery spent. A full tummy tuck will allow removal of most if not all of the skin and stretch marks from your pubic bone to your belly button. Most plastic surgeons include liposuction of the side of your waist with the tummy tuck procedure. (Remus Repta, MD, Scottsdale Plastic Surgeon)
You are a good candidate for Tummy Tuck and some flank lipo – it will give you the flattest abdomen, tighten your muscles, remove excess skin, and excess fat. In the right hands – you should expect great results. As far as your breast goes – since there’re no photos – impossible to assess.
But generally speaking it is very common to have breast lift/and/or augmentation in combination with Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) – often times referred to as “Mommy Makeover”. (Thomas Trevisani, Sr., MD, Orlando Plastic Surgeon)
