You are a great candidate. Meet with an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified surgeon for best and safest results (David Shifrin, MD, Chicago Plastic Surgeon)
Your photo is very limited and gives us no indication of the entire trunk. Based only on this limited info you probably would be a good candidate but you need an exam to be sure. (Ronald V. DeMars, MD, Portland Plastic Surgeon)
Based on the photo, you appear to be a good candidate for a tummy tuck. It would remove the excess skin and stretch marks under your belly button. It would also tighten up the muscles to give you a flatter tummy.
I recommend a consultation with a plastic surgeon for a full examination to see if a tummy tuck would give you the look you desire. (Eugene Kim, MD, Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon)
You appear to be a good candidate for tummy tuck. If you are done having children, then definitely pursue it. Even if you hope to lose a bit of weight before having surgery, this is a good time to see a board certified plastic surgeon in consultation and learn more about the operation. (Robert L. Kraft, MD, New York Plastic Surgeon)
From your photo you appear to be a candidate for a tummy tuck to remove the excess skin, fat, and tighten your belly muscles. A thorough exam would need to be performed and your fitness for surgery would need to be assessed by a board certified plastic surgeon. (Gaurav Bharti, MD, Johnson City Plastic Surgeon)
You appear to have excess skin which cannot be improved in any other way. A Tummy tuck is a very common procedure after pregnancies and weight loss. Patients are usually very satisfied with their result and happy to regain a flat youthful appearing tummy. You should consult with a Board certified plastic surgeon. (George Lefkovits, MD, New York Plastic Surgeon)
If you are healthy and at a weight you are planning to stay then you are good to go. if you want to lose some weight first the results will be a bit better. (Gregory Lynam, MD, Richmond Plastic Surgeon)
It appears you are a good candidate for an abdominoplasty. (tummy tuck) If you have a ventral wall weakness, you may get insurance coverage for the ventral wall, rectus diastasis, repair. Without insurance compensation in my NJ practice, this procedure costs $7800, which includes the board certified professional fee, board certified anesthesia fee, and medicare approved surgicenter fee.Best wishes (George C. Peck, Jr, MD, West Orange Plastic Surgeon)
If you are in good general health and you have completed your family plans, you appear to be a reasonable candidate.
You could be a great candidate for a tummy tuck. However, to make any formal recommendations, an in-person consultation is required.
From what I can see, you look like a great candidate for an extended abdominoplasty or lower body lift. Based on the skin laxity on your sides, I think you will likely get a better outcome with a more extensive procedure such as a body lift because it will address the circumferential skin laxity. Like the other surgeons, I recommend that you try to get as close to your ideal body weight as possible and maintain that weight for 3-6 months prior to surgery. Be sure to find a board certified plastic surgeon and make sure you get all of your questions answered. (Matthew H. Steele, MD)
It does appear that you have excess skin on you abdomen and on the sides as well. Given the amount of skin that you are grasping on your side, you are likely a better candidate for a lower body lift which will also address the excess skin on the sides and back. You should try to be stable at your optimal weight prior to the surgery, because if you lose more weight after the surgery you will likely have more excess skin. Obtain a consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your options. (Luis H. Macias, MD, Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon)
It is best to get to your ideal body weight prior to surgery. An exam is needed to determine the surgeries needed to achieve the result you desire. Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to discuss your concerns and expectations. (Robert E. Zaworski, MD, Atlanta Plastic Surgeon)
It certainly looks like it from this photo. I generally advise my patients to have this surgery when they are at or near their usual body weight or, if a range, the lowest weight that they can comfortably maintain (it doesn’t make sense to crash diet, have the surgery, and then put the weight back on again). So that’s the question: are you comfortable with your weight at present (and do you plan to stay at about this weight)? If yes to both then, based on the photo, I think you’ll be thrilled with the surgery. You should, of course, have one or more consultations with board-certified plastic surgeons in person to address this and any other surgery as a next step.(Alan M. Engler, MD, FACS, New York Plastic Surgeon)
You are and excellent candidate for a TT. You are done with kids, you appear to have a large amount of excess skin, you likely have muscle separation. Go for it now.
You are an excellent candidate for a tummy tuck. Some things to consider as to timing:1) Is your weight stable? Or do you anticipate a change in the future? If you have your own goal weight and you are making progress towards it, then you may want to consider holding off until you reach it and you stay there for sometime.2) Location of your scar: Based on the one view, you may have extra tissue that may merit removing some tissue in the vertical direction (resulting in a vertical scar) in addition to removing tissue in the horizontal direction (the traditional approach). The amount of skin removal (and therefore skin tightening) really depends on the amount of scar line that you are willing to tolerate (e.g. horizontal scar or adding a vertical scar to that). (Young R. Cho, MD, PhD, Houston Plastic Surgeon)
Your result will be best if you continue to lose weight and reach her goal weight. (Brooke R. Seckel, MD, FACS, Boston Plastic Surgeon)
excess skin is noted, therefore you are a great candidate for full Tummy Tuck operation. always best to lose as much weight as needed. But not sure are you 5’1/2″ or 5’5″??? If only 5′ than you do need to ,lose weight. (Darryl J. Blinski, MD, Miami Plastic Surgeon)
You are definitely ready for body contouring surgery. I would say you need the tummy tuck to get rid of the excess skin you clearly have and to repair the abdominal muscle wall after being stretch through childbearing and excessive weight. Now, the tummy tuck will only give you a flat tummy, I think, although more pictures are needed, you would also benefit from liposuction, this will help you achieve a slimmer, curvier waistline, and a smooth lower back arch, while getting rid of the fat rolls. Finally, the grand touch I would say will be some fat transfer to your buttocks to gain a little more volume and projection.
As to how much weight you should loose, Ideally, dropping some 14 pounds will be enough, but it mainly depends if you want the skinny look or the voluptuous look, as you can readily get the procedure as you are right now, the important thing is that you loose all the weight you want to loose before the procedure, so your skin won’t sag afterwards from further weight loss. (Jose A. Leon, MD, Dominican Republic Plastic Surgeon)
You are a good candidate at this point due to all the excess skin in your photo. However if you plan to lose a significant amount of weight (>30lbs) I would wait. If you are close to your goal weight than you are a fine candidate judging by your photo. (Adam Saad, MD, Atlantic City Plastic Surgeon)
