Cesarean tummy tuck
Tummy Tuck after 2 Cesarean sections
You are a good candidate for a Tummy Tuck – that will address your excess skin and will tighten up your muscles.
To get a more accurate assessment – go to an experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. (Thomas Trevisani, Sr., MD, Orlando Plastic Surgeon)
Abdominoplasty vs. Liposuction
I think you are a great candidate for a tummy tuck. You obviously work out hard and an abdominoplasty can remove that excess skin so that you can see what is underneath!
It is an outpatient procedure so you can go home the same day. Your scar will be very low so it can be covered in any panties or bathing suits. I think you will look amazing! (K. Roxanne Grawe, MD, Columbus Plastic Surgeon)
Tummy Tuck or Liposuction after Pregnancy
A pregnancy (or two) results in a significant change in a woman’s abdomen. Not only is skin softened and stretched but a change the muscle layer below the skin occurs as well.
The parallel muscles in the middle of your abdomen, which are attached at the ribs and pubic bone, have a layer of tissue between them that can stretch and separate, and once this occurs it can not return to normal.
Since this happens with almost all pregnancies then the use of liposuction alone, which does not tighten skin or the separation between the abdominal muscles, is not effective to restore a youthful contour to the abdomen. A Board-certified Plastic Surgeon will be able to exam your abdomen and offer options for correcting the post-pregnancy contour changes you have. (Douglas Leppink, MD, Grand Rapids Plastic Surgeon)
Tummy tuck or liposuction
You need a tummy tuck. Your abdominal muscle is stretched causing your sway back, liposuction can be done at the same time. See a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for a face-to-face exam for a definite plan. (Elizabeth Morgan, MD, PhD, Atlanta Plastic Surgeon)
You have many options as mentioned already so ultimately, it will depend on what you want for your final result and how accepting you are of the scars versus outcomes in contour you are willing to accept and trade off. Your final decision will be best obtained in a formal confidential consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon where the details of each procedure can be discussed in full. (Melek Kayser, MD, Detroit)
It appears from your pictures that your issue is mainly skin laxity and not excess fat of the abdomen. For that issue, a tummy tuck is a better treatment option. There are differences between a full and mini tummy tuck which you may also consider. Obviously you cannot do a physical exam on pictures posted here, so you would be best served by a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who can not only do a proper history and exam, but can also discuss with you the pros and cons of different approaches. (Jason Brett Lichten, MD, Columbus Plastic Surgeon)
