Had picosure treatment on a sunspot with good results. How long do I have to wait for 2nd treatment
Picosecond laser treatment intervals
Apr 8, 2017
Repeat treatments with the PicoSure laser are usually done 4-6 weeks apart however several published reports have confirmed that shortening that interval is safe and effective. The new collagen which is formed in response to prior treatments is not a target for the picosecond energy, so repeat treatments focus on molecules such as residual melanin in photo damaged skin.
Are there any permanent treatments to help my acne scars?
Best options for acne scarring
Jan 11, 2017
Acne scars will improve if two factors are addressed: the damaged, stiffened or tethered scar tissue (mostly collagen), and the lack of healthy collagen, elastin, and mucin around and within the scar sites.

That said, there are two newer treatments that can address these issues effectively: platelet rich plasma accompanied with microneedling, and the newer picosecond laser, PicoSure.

Both methods help to break up the old, scarred down collagen while also stimulating new dermal...

Does Microneedling help for mild acne scars?
Microneedling for Acne Scarring
Dec 18, 2016
Microneedling is a low to no downtime way to "microwound" the skin which will remove damaged collagen. And because small micro channels are created in the skin, the treatment is a perfect way to deliver a topical medicine for even more collagen stimulation. Some microneedling devices include radio-frequency stimulation which targets the deeper dermis for enhanced effects.
Does Cool Sculpting work on upper back and arms?
Upper arm fat
Dec 9, 2016
Stay tuned! At last month's annual meeting of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Dr Jean Carruthers presented preliminary impressive results of using Cool Sculpting to treat upper arm fat and laxity. Not only did the fat lessen, but skin in the treatment zone tightened as well.
Can I switch from Botox to Dysport? I had 50 ml to forehead 11 lines & crows feet. I'm 46 and femal
Botox vs Dysport
Dec 3, 2016
Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are trade names for the botulinum protein that works specifically within the neuro-muscular junction to temporarily stop transmission of a particular neurotransmitter. This prevents muscle contraction. In our office, all three versions are used. I like to use Dysport in certain areas and Botox in others, but they can be used interchangeably to achieve the desired results.
Hi I was just wondering is there any remedies to get rid of acne scaring
Acne scarring
Dec 1, 2016
Some of what you're seeing on your skin is not true scarring but inflammation and pigment which are treated with nonablative lasers such as a pulsed dye laser or a Q-switched YAG laser. For actual damaged collagen leading to acne scars, the newest device is a picosecond laser such as the PicoSure.
Had CO 2 laser to eyes, should it have tightened by now?
CO2 Laser Healing and Collagen Building
Nov 30, 2016
Your CO2 treatment will lead to continued improvement of the collagen, elastin, and mucin in your skin. These changes have been shown by biopsies, chemical analyses, and visual inspection of treated skin. The healing process continues to build new, tighter, more elastic skin.
