Fillers in my lips are only lasting 2-3 weeks. Need help!
Filler lasting 2-3 weeks
Jul 7, 2015
It’s very unusual to have the filler completely metabolize in that short period of time. Either most of your results are from swelling (not the actual filler) or you are breaking down the hyaluronic acid faster than normal- which would be unlikely but possible. It’s important to see exactly how much filler is being injected, and where under the skin it’s being placed. If the filler is placed too deep under the skin, the results will be lost. Silicone injections are permanent and would be a…
Why am I having an excruciating headache for the last 7 days immediately after Botox injections?
Headache after Botox
Jul 7, 2015
Having a headache after your first Botox injection is not uncommon. It usually goes away after a few days. If the headache doesn’t go away, speak with your doctor. It is certainly possible nerves were irritated or a migraine was triggered- but certainly less likely.
Need to minimize acne scars and lines around my cheeks and chin. Do doctors offer payment plans? (P
Payment plans
Jun 18, 2015
Not to worry. Many doctors will offer payment plans- especially if you require multiple treatments with various lasers or tools. Schedule an appointment and be upfront about financial restrictions.
Had botox in beginning of May. I was able to drive my car up until five days later. Will I ever be
Botox spasm
Jun 18, 2015
It’s certainly unfortunate, but sometimes it takes time to tailor the right amount, and right injection points, for your Botox injections. Because it sounds like your muscles are relaxed too much to allow for usage while driving, perhaps less units should be used next time. The effects should wear off in about 3 months, but you may see gradual improvement starting in two.
I used to have a pimple and I popped it now it’s a scab / huge bump. Any suggestions?
Pimple scar
May 28, 2015
It’s incredibly important to keep your hands and fingers off pimples and blemishes! The more you squeeze the higher the chance of scarring. The best thing to do at this point is to keep the area clean- and to see your dermatologist. They might find you a candidate for a cortisone injection to decrease the size and inflammation. The redness will take time to fade- so put sunscreen on every day to help it along.. And remember: no picking!
Would fillers rejuvenate my lower face, or would they only be effective on the temples?
Filler for lower face
May 28, 2015
Fillers can be used in various parts of the face- and you should speak to your dermatologist about what exactly tore trying to fix in your lower face. Laxity or hollowing out can be improved with fillers- and are used quite often to help rebuild the bone structure of the jawline and lower face. Good luck!
Is it possible to repair my acne scars?
Reducing acne scars
May 28, 2015
Absolutely there are ways to improve acne scars. It’s important to schedule an appointment with your dermatologist to plan the appropriate time to start treatments. Typically, I find the Fraxel laser to be quite successful and improving scars- although you’ll need several treatments. Although you may have some downtime after search session, I think you’ll be quite happy with the end results. Good luck!
