Black Triangle with veneers (Phtoo)
We’re the veneers used to close large spacing?
Mar 28, 2023
When veneers are used to close spacing between teeth, the gum and boney architecture is a big factor. I am only guessing, but since the veneers appear somewhat wide, I can assume that some opened spacing was the beginning problem.I would have to see Before photos and higher up under the lipline to help explain what veneers can and cannot do with respect to the gumline. Sometimes there isn’t sufficient gum to fill the large spaces. How were the temporaries? The before picture of what you…
5 months post masseter Botox – will my asymmetry even out with more time?
Who did your dental exam?
Mar 28, 2023
Seems like you are missing the point of receiving masseter injections. These should only be done after a thorough dental exam to find the underlying cause of the asymmetry and pain. All massager pain is associated with the teeth and there positioning in the jaw. This is not a cosmetic procedure. These injections should be done coinciding with dental treatment to find the root cause. If the cause is not treated, the Botox will never be totally effective alone.
What is a reasonable price for dental bonding?
Prices will vary by area, expertise, and how much is done and the time it takes.

I do cases like yours all the time. Sometimes even after Invisilign or conventional braces, the cosmetic look of the smile is not pleasing. It can be due to a lot of things. The shape of the teeth have a lot to do with it. Also the size of the teeth. If the teeth are naturally small, then bonding the corners can make the teeth appear wider. If some teeth are too pointy or long for your liking, the enamel can be easily rounded, while keeping the bite in correct proportions. My suggestion,…
Would wearing a mouthguard when boxing be enough to protect my veneers?
That’s a difficult question. You might not like the answer.
Oct 2, 2022
Taking a shot directly to the mouth, even with a mouth guard in can cause damage. Your whole jaw could break even with a mouth guard in place. That is the risk you take when boxing. It might prevent minor chips from the jaw being nudged, but any blunt force trauma to the jaw could cause breakage to the veneers, to teeth, and jaw even with a nightguard in place. You wear it to hope it works, but no guarantees. Sorry.
Teeth keep chipping–should I just insist to have them filed down a bit?
Look for a different dentist
Oct 2, 2022
Whenever I see weakened edges or chipping on the edges, I immediately look for a reason. The reason most likely is the positioning of your lower teeth. Most likely there are 1 or 2 teeth on the lower arch that fit directly into those chips like puzzle pieces when you move the lower jaw forward or forward and sideways. Most good cosmetic dentists or any dentist who is educated enough in how teeth fit together, called occlusion, should be able to correct this easily with cosmetically…
Crooked smile and uneven face. What can I do to fix this?
Seek another orthodontic opinion ASAP
Oct 2, 2022
Yes, I do see what you are referring to. It looks like there is some masseter hypertrophy on one side. Perhaps your bite is not evenly touching and there is harder contact on that side. Why have you been wearing braces for 6 years? That is an awfully long time. Are you not compliment and haven’t been returning to the orthodontist regularly? I think it is time for a serious bite evaluation and some xrays and a consultation appointment with another board certified orthodontist to evaluate your…
Unhappy with my veneers, my smile looks odd – how can I fix this?
Did you see a wax up?
Jan 5, 2022
This is my cosmetic mantra for anyone considering veneers. YOU MUST HAVE A WAX UP…a wax replica of what the final veneers will look like . And you have to see it, and like it, approve it. That way you would have never gotten the kind of veneers you did. The problem here is that the proportions of the veneers are all wrong. They weren’t worked out beforehand. You have large spacing between your teeth. The dentist must work out the proper proportions of the new veneers with the technician…..
