An MRI of the breasts is the best diagnostic study to diagnose rupture. It is highly unlikely that silicone has migrated to your liver, lungs, or thyroid. It depends on how long it has been since you’ve had surgery. Postoperative swelling can persist for months after surgery. If you recently had surgery, continue to wear your compression garment. Follow up with your surgeon. You may need a revision in the future, but your surgeon will be better able to tell you your options after further examination.
