Statement: Dr Strell utilized Botox for the treatment of spasticity related to spinal cord injury and stroke patients. After multiple requests from his wife to employ his skilled injection techniques to the field of aesthetic medicine he finally acquiesced thinking that this was just going to be a waste of time. Much to his surprise quite the opposite occurred. Each patient brought a different challenge and need for a customized approach. Much like his ongoing pain practice Dr Strell provides a singularly personal consultation and treatment plan. Many patients have been first time aesthetic patients and Dr Strell recognizes what a big decision it can be at times to choose this course of care and strives to make each patient as comfortable with the choice they made as they are happy with the outcome of the treatment.

What can help my uneven asymmetrical lips?
Lip asymmetry
Nov 27, 2020
Great question First it is not unusual for there to be asymmetry in our face, not just lips. Nasolabial folds are often not even as well. It is fairly common for the aesthetic provider to be working not only to make the lips more full but to make them more symmetrical. You have a nice shaped lip and i think you would find very nice results with a light fill. Lips are very noticeable and it is crucial you and the provider share the same aesthetic goal for the procedure Good luck
30/f: how to treat these tear troughs? Would cheeks help? What would make the biggest difference?
Feeling self conscious
Nov 21, 2020
HiFirst off I want to say that you have nothing to be self conscious of when reviewing your pictures. I know my words will not really have that much of an impact when you have something in your mind about how you look. You have a great shape to your face. You have very nice lips and a great philtral columns. Wonderful nose and great eyes. You do have some flattening below the eyes in the mid cheek area and could use some volume there. There is a fine line between having a little volume and…
Is it possible to bleed when a filler such as Voluma is being injected into your face?
Bleeding with filler
Nov 21, 2020
HiGood question. Unfortunately bleeding is a possible event that can occur even in the best of hands. Your physician should take the time and care to minimize this occurrence but this cannot be eliminated as a possible outcome. There are things that can be done to minimize bruising or bleeding. Drawing back on the syringe before injecting, using a blunt tip cannula in certain areas when appropriate and ice and pressure after the treatment can all help with bleeding. Also prior steps can be…
What is the best temple filler?
Temple filler
Mar 19, 2019
Hi
I love Voluma for the temples. I have not even tried other product there. Temple injections, when indicated can be one of the more rewarding and natural injections. Voluma is one of the more expensive products but in my opinion worth it. Temple area often will last longer then most areas.
Good luck
What is the best hand filler?
Hand filler
Mar 19, 2019
Hi
I cannot say it is the “best” hand filler but I use Voluma and I’m quite happy with the results.
Good luck
What are my options to get rid of my frown lines at the age of 37?
Frown lines
Feb 11, 2019
Hi
This is a simple treatment.
Botox should work nicely here and depending on your outer eye area (Crow’s Feet) may involve some other areas as well for best overall outcome
Good luck!!
Can Botox in the forehead lift brows? Does anyone use this technique?
Botox and eyebrows
Feb 10, 2019
Hi
Good question
It is quite simple
There are basically 2 groups of facial animation muscles in the upper face area that are addressed with Botox. Those that lift the eyebrows are Frontalis muscles. These cause the forehead lines that you mentioned. You are correct that when injected this will potentially cause a heavy brow if unopposed. The muscles between the eyebrows and on the edge of the eyebrow pull the brows down so when relaxed with Botox potentially lift them up. I will rarely…
