Breast Lift Without Implants?
Breast lift without implants
Oct 23, 2017
You can absolutely get a breast lift without implants. The lift will give you a more perky look to the breast by removing the excess skin and tightening the skin envelope. If a patient wants to have significant upper pole fullness of the breast, I often recommend a small implant as well. One thing to remember is that you can always have an implant placed later if you are unhappy with the volume after a lift.
Would a breast lift be appropriate for my breasts?
Breast lift
Oct 23, 2017

Based on your photos you have minimal drooping of the breasts but have lost some volume, particularly in the upper part of the breast. If you want to be perkier you will definitely need a small implant to fill out your skin. Depending on the size of the implant, a small lift may also be necessary too. I recommend seeking consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to further discuss your options.

Best of luck!

Do I need only a pannus removal or pannus and a tummy tuck?
Abdominoplasty vs Panniculectomy
Sep 26, 2017
It is difficult to tell from your close-up photos if you would be a candidate for abdominoplasty. If you are significantly above your goal weight and have a high BMI, the logistics of doing an abdominoplasty are not the main concern. The issue at that point is safety. The procedure is much higher risk for DVT and other complications if your weight is high. In addition, your results will not be nearly as good, and you could have development of skin laxity…
Why is my tummy tuck incision black from 2 days through now, day 12 post-op?
Tummy tuck incision concerns
Sep 26, 2017
Your surgeon and nurses are correct that this is nothing to worry about. Black discoloration just along the incision line often occurs due to dried blood or scabbing of the skin edges. It looks like you are otherwise healing nicely. Definitely don’t worry about this!
Best of luck,

Does breast augmentation compromise nipple sensitivity?
Nipple sensation after augmentation
Jun 12, 2017
The risk of loss of nipple sensation after breast augmentation is primarily related to the size of the implant. If you don’t choose an exceedingly large implant (which places considerable pressure and stretch on the nerves to the nipple), then your chance of permanent loss of sensation is very small; however, with any breast surgery there is a risk. When you see a plastic surgeon in consultation, he/she will be able to give you a more specific assessment of risk…
How much does a tummy tuck and liposuction cost?
Tummy tuck cost
Apr 24, 2017

The cost of tummy tuck and liposuction varies greatly depending on the area of the country, the surgeon, and the extent of surgery based on your anatomy. The total cost includes the surgeon’s fee, facility costs, and anesthesia costs. To get an accurate assessment I would recommend seeking consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area.
Good luck!

Can you breath after a tummy tuck?
Breathing after tummy tuck
Apr 24, 2017
You can definitely breath after a tummy tuck. Your abdomen will be tight, and you will have to be deliberate about taking deep breaths even though it hurts a bit, but you should not feel short of breath.
Advise on Tummy tuck and Thigh lift after breast augmentation and arm lift?
Timing of multiple cosmetic surgeries
Apr 24, 2017
You should definitely be healed and ready for your tummy tuck and thigh lift after 3 months. Otherwise, the timing depends mostly on your life and if you are ready to go through another prolonged recovery.
Good luck!
Breast lift without implants?
Breast lift options
Apr 21, 2017
The extent of scarring in a breast lift depends greatly on the amount of drooping (ptosis) of your breasts. At a bare minimum you will have a scar around the areola, but with greater degrees of ptosis, a vertical scar and possible a horizontal scar in the fold under the breast will be necessary. Typically, when an implant is used in conjunction with a lift, the amount of skin that needs to be excised will be decreased and thus the scarring would be…
Redness, lumps, small amount of pain, warm breast, worried about implant rupture? Or breastfeeding r
Breast redness
Feb 7, 2017
Because you have been breast feeding, the most likely diagnosis is a breast infection. I would recommend seeing your OB/Gyn or family physician for further evaluation and treatment. You may need antibiotics. Other problems such as implant rupture or benign/malignant breast lump should also be ruled out, but are less likely.
Best of luck,

Facelift possibilities?
Facelift possibilities?
Feb 6, 2017
I would highly recommend that you avoid facial cosmetic surgery at your age. You have a beautiful face and could benefit from some minimal sculpting with injectable fillers to address your concerns. Consult with a board certified Plastic Surgeon to see what your best options would be.
Best wishes,

I was just curious as to why some women get drain tubes after a tummy tuck and why some women don’t?
Drains after tummy tuck
Feb 6, 2017
In abdominoplasty, like many other surgeries, the skin is lifted off the abdominal wall and a potential space is created which can fill up with fluid. The primary way to remove fluid and allow the skin to “stick down” is by drain placement. The problem with drains is that they can be annoying and uncomfortable for the patient. As a result, many different techniques have been investigated in order to eliminate the need for drains. Some…
Breast lift with or without implants? Can I regain my perkiness?
Breast lift/reduction
Feb 3, 2017
You have good breast volume, so would definitely benefit from a lift without implants to make your breasts more perky. The trade-off with a breast lift (with or without a small reduction) is the scars on the breast. The excess skin is removed and, depending on the technique, will leave a scar around the areola, down the center of the breast, and underneath in the fold. I recommend that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss….
Is my belly button healing OK?
Healing after tummy tuck
Feb 3, 2017
It appears that you are having some delayed healing of a small portion of your belly button. The black area may represent an edge of the skin that died, which occasionally happens as a result of the alteration of blood flow during the surgery. I would recommend following up with your plastic surgeon as he may want to debride the black area.
