Healing from tummy tucks in this area is possible. Some start out as dead skin and then progress to infections. The good thing is that they usually resolve with very little problems and even look good once healed over time. The difficult part is that it takes time to heal. I recommend frequent follow up with your plastic surgeon to expedite the healing and modify your care to the wound so that it heals as quickly as possible.

The majority of healing takes up to 3 months. This is very early healing that should improve with each week. But subtle improvements from liposuction may continue up to a year. The correctly fitting garment is important to mold the result to an extent. Furthermore, the massage of the area is a good idea. It it does not feel or look any different from before surgery, then maybe the liposuction was not extensive enough. I also recommend closing following up...
