Don’t panic! At only 2 weeks out from surgery you are still swollen. When doing a breast reduction there is only a certain amount of tissue that can removed based on how big of a pedicle (the tissue that keeps your areolar/nipple complex viable) your breasts need. Yes the tightness is normal. During the surgery the tissue expander is placed under your pec muscle to help make a pocket for your future implant. you are probably feeling the stretching from that. Talk to your surgeon at your next visit about your pain/tightness. If you are in the filling process there will be some tightness as well. Good luck

Yes it is considered plastic surgery. If you are planning on having a breast reduction please make sure your surgeon of choice is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery. Some insurance companies will deem this procedure medical necessary if the size of a women’s breasts is causing her harm (rash, shoulder grooving, back pain etc).

At this point in your recovery you shouldn’t be worrying about skin loss. That would have happened by now. As far as getting a seroma, it is less likely but it can happen. Be sure to still take it easy even if you feel great and always listen to the recommendations from your surgeon who knows you best. Good luck.

Great question!Looking at your pictures I think that a circumferential body lift will give you the best results in removing the excessive skin of your abdomen and it will help to lift the excessive skin on your buttocks. As for your thighs it is hard for me to say because I can only see half of them. For the best results in regards to your thighs, a medial thigh lift would be great option.

If you were my patient I would recommend on still wearing the compression garment. It helps with swelling which can last months. If the vest is irritating to you maybe wear it above a cotton t-shirt to prevent any irritation. Ultimately, you need to discuss with your surgeon what he/she recommends as you are their patient and should follow their post op instructions and recommendations.
