Great question. Liposuction can be a great way to help remove excess fat to areas that are stubborn to diet and exercise. Your overall weight, BMI and tissue elasticity will all play a role in helping decide if surgery is appropriate for you. With a BMI of 30-31, you may be a candidate for liposuction. You will need to see a board certified plastic surgeon to examine you and potentially come up with a surgical plan for you.

Thank you for your question. This question does vary Dr. to Dr. and should be discussed with your board certified plastic surgeon. We like to use a scar gel therapy at the 2 or 3 week postop depending on how the patient is healing. Making sure your incisions are fully closed is important especially If you are having irritation from the scar cream.

Many patients can return back to a desk type job within four to five days, but with a physical job you will need to wait for your surgeon's guide lines.
