Is it necessary to have massages after a tummy tuck and lipo 360 (PAL)?
No.
Oct 6, 2020
Hi Bentley. It is not necessary to have massages after tummy tuck and lipo 360. However, I do strongly recommend them. I always remind my patients that I can do the best job technically with their surgery, but the healing is up to them. Therefore, the final results are a “team effort”. Massages can help with the healing process. They help to manage swelling, promote symmetry, and avoid scar tissue from forming into “lumps” – a problem that is very difficult to fix after the fact….
What are your thoughts on getting a tummy tuck in addition to back & flanks lipo?
Mommy makeover
Jun 7, 2020
Congrats on your recent twins! Pregnancy can wreak havoc on your body. I would recommend you continue to loose weight until you get to a stable weight where you’re ready for surgery. Because of the stretching of your skin, you will definitely benefit from a tummy tuck. Depending on your size at the time of surgery, liposuction of your back, flanks, and even stomach may also be beneficial. The goal is to get to your stable weight before you embark on surgery…
Can I get implants without a lift? Would they be enough to fill me out for larger and fuller bre
Restoring breast volume after pregnancy
Jun 7, 2020
Thank you for your question. Judging from your photos, it looks like you could get by with a breast augmentation without lift. Your nipples appear in good position and your primary problem is loss of volume. Implants would restore your pre-pregnancy size (or even larger). Good luck!
Is saline actually safer than silicone implants?
Implant Safety
Jun 7, 2020
Hi Emily,
First, it’s important to know that a board-certified plastic surgeon would never knowingly implant any device that was not safe for their patient. Both saline and silicone implants are safe, and choosing which implant is a personal decision between you and your surgeon. Briefly, saline implants can give you greater “piece of mind” because if the implant breaks, the implant deflates, your body absorbs the salt water, and it is usually obvious on…
Should I get liposuction, CoolSculpting or tummy tuck after weight loss?
tummy tuck after weight loss
May 24, 2020
Congrats on the weight loss! If you are at a stable weight then I would recommend a tummy tuck in your case. Coolsculpting and liposuction aren’t going to get rid of the excess skin, and therefore won’t give you the result you want. A tummy tuck will remove the sagging skin and most of your stretch marks, as well as tighten your six pack muscles. You have a lovely waist and some added liposuction may really enhance an hour glass shape. Hope that helps!
What plastic procedures or fillers should I consider in order to enhance natural beauty?
Enhance your natural beauty
May 24, 2020
Thanks for your question. I am a firm believer that all plastic surgery procedures should “enhance” your natural beauty, rather than make you appear like someone you are not. You have great bone structure with lovely cheek bones that frame your face. If you wanted to start with something simple that would get you the best “bang for your buck”, I would recommend some fillers to soften your tear troughs and chin dimple. Having radiant skin can also go a long…
Will a week off after tummy tuck be sufficient?
tummy tuck recovery
May 24, 2020
Keeping in mind that everyone recovers slightly differently, I think you would be OK to resume work from home after 1 week. You may still have some discomfort but shouldn’t need powerful pain medication to cloud your brain. I usually tell my patients that it takes 2 weeks before feeling comfortable doing everyday activities and 6 weeks before resuming anything that gets your heart rate up. Hope that helps!
Four c-sections, lost 70lb. Would I be a good candidate for tummy tuck or another surgery? (phot
Tummy tuck candidate
May 24, 2020
Congrats on the weight loss! Despite the excess skin and stretch marks, you have a very nice waist which having a tummy tuck would accentuate. If you are at a stable weight and finished having children, you would be a great candidate. An added benefit is that most of your stretch marks would be removed as the skin is pulled tight. As part of the tummy tuck your six pack muscles would be tightened and some liposuction would be used to give you that hour glass shape….
What is the best option for me to have a nice flat stomach: liposuction or tummy tuck?
Lipo vs tummy tuck
May 19, 2020
I would say tummy tuck all the way. Given your stretch marks and excess skin, you won’t get the result you want with just liposuction alone. You may also need tightening of your six pack muscles if they have stretched out to avoid having your stomach “bulge” out. Of course, the best way to assess the appropriate treatment is to schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon.
