His training in plastic and reconstructive surgery was at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He was then accepted for additional specialty training in cosmetic surgery with one of the most prominent and internationally respected cosmetic surgeons at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida.

Dr. Brothers is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is the founder of the Plastic Surgery Centre of Atlanta, P.C. and has served as the chief of plastic surgery at Saint Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta, Northside Hospital, and Perimeter Surgery Center of Atlanta. He also served as the secretary of the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Brothers is very well-published in the field of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery and is a frequent guest lecturer.

You should follow the instructions given by your surgeon. In our practice we restrict cardio activity for 4 weeks and lifting for at least 6 weeks. There could be other restrictions based on whether you had muscle repair with your tummy tuck, as well. Good luck and be sure to check with the surgeon who performed your surgery.
