In spite of all good efforts and great surgery, some patients still heal with thickened scars. Tension on the scars, infection or genetics can all play a role in making the scars become thicker. Most often scars can thicken in the middle, closest to your breast bone and on the sides. This can be due to the pull of the weight of the breast tissue on the fact that the scar is close to the midline. You may just need to have the scars revised or...

Thigh lifts can be very challenging. Often the result of weight changes or previous surgeries, the thigh skin can sag. The weight of the skin on the suture line can also be significant. The further the area of concern is from your incision line, the less dramatic of a lift you will see. You would not want the scar to migrate south, and become more visible because of increased tension. Discuss with your doctor what changes you hope to see....

One of the most important issues when planning any surgery is establishing excellent communication with your plastic surgeon and agreeing on expectations before the procedure. There seems to be a difference between what you expected and what the surgeon was planning. I do see some wonderful improvements in your photos, however I would recommend revisiting with your doctor, and discuss with him what changes you had been hoping to see, and problems you...

Many surgeries can cause lower extremity swelling. Post surgical swelling can still be around after your type of surgery. Not uncommon. It does appear symmetric as well. Therefore I would suggest to elevate the legs at the end of the day when they are most sore and swollen. Cool compresses and compression stockings can also help. Minimize excess salt intake and make sure you continue to move about and ass some light stretching and exercise to get...

Often people get blood work on an empty stomach with nothing to eat or drink for a few hours. This can make you a little dehydrated and make some of your lab results look a bit concentrated, or high. It is unlikely this would delay your surgery unless other results indicate some reason to do further evaluation to assess what is going on.
Best Luck with your surgery!

You have a great shape for liposuction. Mimimal skin laxity but moderate fullness. 360 liposuction would definitely help the abdomen back and love handles. All that harvested fat could then be filtered and cleaned and used safely to enhance your buttocks! Keep in mind that in the months after you've healed, loose skin that does not tighten fully, may benefit from a tummy tuck. Ask your board certified plastic surgeon about it.

Looks like you had a verticle lift, or some call a limited lift, with the tennis racket scar. The scars still look quite red so they should continue to lighten and loosen, and that may correct that fold you see, and the tight vertical scar under your nipple. It does look however that the nipples could be set higher on the breast so that they are centered. Your implants appear to be in a good position, and raising them would only make your nipples...

Yes it is true that your implant should not be in there for ever and ever. It is recommended that all implants be exchanged after about ten years. The numbers vary a little bit for different implants, however due to possible increase in scarring or contracture of the breast, as well as an increased risk of the implant fracturing after ten years, an exchange is recommended. You will notice that the replacement warranty and insurance policy on...

Your hemoglobin is slightly low so some caution is warranted. Your surgeon should use a tumescent type of liposuction to minimize blood loss. You should also discuss with your surgeon about maybe limiting to total volume removed to a reasonable amount of fat, in order to limit blood loss and avoid a transfusion later on. For example, your doc may be able to tell you that 3 liters of fat or 6 liters of fat could be safely removed with minimal impact...

It sounds like you've been patient letting the skin heal. It appears from the photo that the crease incision may be off the crease in the middle. Given that 2.5 years have gone by, there may be enough skin laxity now to revise your eyelid fold again - sorry. Looks like a full incision of skin on the affected eyelid could straighten out the crease. You would likely have to redo the other side too, to make sure they match up. You do however need to...

In the first few weeks after an augmentation, your implants will drop down some and fill you in better. I would say however, without the benefit of pictures, that the HP 650cc implant you selected is quite large. You should be able to see quite a difference, but if you don't, speak with your doctor about your concerns. You may have already received the card with your implant information like reference and serial numbers on it. It also will list the size...
