From your picture your arms look great! It doesn't look like you have excessive skin or fat. If it is muscle that is causing the bulk you are worrying about then there is no surgical option for "muscle reduction". If you were to remove parts of your arm muscle, you may risk loosing some movement of your arm. You should make an appointment for a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Since you're only 3 weeks out from surgery you still have some swelling, which may be why it looks dimpled in some areas. Once your swelling goes down the skin will relax and smooth out. Talk to your Plastic Surgeon about wearing a compression garment if he doesn't already have you wearing one. It can help with the swelling. Arm elevation as well can help. But you should follow your surgeons reccomendations and follow up with him/her if you have...

Great question! I would recommend having a consultation with a board certified Plastic Surgeon who can take a look at your arms to see if you are a good candidate for the arm lift. If you are a candidate, I would recommend that you go for a medical clearance from your primary care physician. Age alone does not exclude you from this type of surgery.Good Luck

Great question.What the plastic surgeon is proposing to you is to an arm lift under local sedation. If he is doing a full arm lift (brachioplasty) even with the local anesthesia this may be very uncomfortable for you.Twilight sedation is when an anesthesiologist gives you medication through an IV to sedate you, but not enough sedation to where you would need to be intubated (breathing tube).
