It is normal to still feel bloated after 4 weeks of surgery. For the first 6-12 weeks you will still be swollen have bruising and edema which is fluid accumulation. You should wear your garment at least 20 per day to help reduce swelling.

Patient's are put in a garment after drains are removed usually one week after surgery. The purpose of the garment is for comfort, reduce swelling and help with body contouring. The garments that we provide for the patients do have an open crouch which is easier for using the bathroom.
