It depends on where you are having liposuction. Liposuction of the body (abdomen, hips, flanks) will have a difference recovery period than liposuction of the thighs or calves/ankles. As a flight attendant you must be on your feet and more active than someone who has a less mobile (like a desk job) work environment. Also, some liposuction can be done under local anesthesia, versus general anesthesia, which can also affect your recovery time.

For my calf/ankle lipo patients they usually wear the compression socks for about 3 weeks, then can go to a secondary type garment. It is between you and your doctor to decide how long to wear the compression garments, based on your recovery progress. However, with my patients, at 6 months you may still have some swelling, but do not have to wear the garments.
