This is common in a breast reduction. There are hundreds of stitches placed in a breast reduction. Sometimes before they dissolve, your body can push them to the surface of the skin. If this occurs, they can be pulled out. Best of luck.

Some people can lose breast mass by losing weight. When you lose weight you also lose the fatty tissue in your breast. The amount varies per individual patient. Unfortunately, the ptosis (sag) most likely will not improve without a breast lift/reduction.

It depends on your insurance. Some policies do not cover breast reduction. If your insurance covers the procedure, then you need documentation from primary care doctors, physical therapy, etc...documenting your history of symptoms. You describe the typical symptoms of a patient with macromastia who would benefit from a breast reduction. Set up an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to get a consult. Good luck.

Thank you for your question. Check with your surgeon and get his recommendation. I don't require massage post op, but I do encourage it as a majority of my patients find it beneficial. Thanks for the question. It is difficult to say for sure without being able to examine you. It believe that a full abdominoplasty would be appropriate as it appears that a mini may not give you the results you want. Meet with a board certified plastic surgeon and you can review what can be achieved with each operation based on your specific anatomy.

If you ask different plastic surgeons you will probably get a few different answers. I am pretty conservative with return to full activity. In general, if a patient is healing normally, I will let them do all activities with no restrictions at 6 weeks post op. Ask your surgeon for his specific recommendations. Best of luck!
