What is the best antihistamine and post-treatment cream for Excel V laser treatment?
Excel V laser treatment and post care
May 18, 2020
Excellent choice of treatment for generalized redness! This laser works really well to target vessels and helps immensely. Swelling afterward is usually a good sign that the inflammatory process has started and your body is workin to repair or absorb those vessels. Usually an antihistamine such as allegra or claritan is good, and if you need some help falling asleep at night, a benadryl before bed can kill 2 birds with one stone.
Unfortunately there really is nothing…
I take iron pills but still have dark around my eyes. What can I do?
Tear trough treatment
May 18, 2020
Hello! Looking at your photo I think you would benefit from some dermal filler in the tear trough area. If you have good skin elasticity, which it looks like you might, you can achieve nice result with filler. Basically it involves tiny injections to the area to revolumize it, as well as to hide or camoflage the vascular bed (blood vessles and capillaries) in the under eye are that contribute to the dark appearance. It sounds like a scary procedure but with…
If I want to maintain long term effects how frequently should I get laser genesis?
Laser genesis for acne
Aug 26, 2019
I would recommend going once a month for 4 to 6 times, then try stretching it out to 6 to 8 weeks. Maintenance is key, so try to keep on a regular schedule if you can. Combining the laser with spironolactone (oral or topical) or antibiotic and regular exfoliation can be helpful as well. Best of luck to you!

Can I use Benzaclin on my face and get laser hair removal in my armpits?
BPO and Laser Hair Reduction
Jul 18, 2019
You are absolutely fine do have LHR in the underarms while using Benzaclin on your face. The benzyl peroxide in benzaclin can cause photosensitivity but usually the photosensitivity occurs in the areas where the medication is placed (or close by). The underarms will not become photosensitized by BPO on the face. Go for it–you will love not having to deal with armpit hair!

Which Retin-A Cream Is Best For Wrinkles—-0.1% or 0.05%?
retin A dose for antiaging
Jul 12, 2019
The short answer to your question is to use the dose that is working for you. If that is 0.1% then go for it! Many people cannot tolerate that high of a dose because it causes redness and peeling but if your skin has acclimated and you are not experiencing side effects it is absolutely fine. Retin A, as a topical form of vitamin A, is great for your skin. Make sure your are also protecting your skin with sunscreen and an antioxidant.
Keep up the good…
Can I have cortisone shots for the treatment of keloids three days after a VI peel?
steroid for keloids and VI peel
Jul 12, 2019
This is an interesting question. My initial thought was to wait until after the peel, but after thinking about it a bit, I think doing the injections before the peel is the way to go. The steroid helps break down the “bad” or scar collagen in the keloid, but it can breakdown healthy collagen as well. I think it would be ideal to have the injections first, then try to stimulate healthy collagen replacement of the scar with a resurfacing treatment like the…
I’m getting little red pimples on my back and chest. I have elevated bilirubin and B12. What can I do? (
“Bacne”
Jul 12, 2019
You look very fit and muscular in your picture so I suspect part of the problem may be hormonal in origin. Androgens like testosterone can cause acne, but the androgens are also what help maintain muscle. When you workout a lot you will naturally raise your androgen level. Some bodybuilders take androgens for muscle bulk and maintenance. Either way the excess androgens will definitely cause pimples. Since you probably do not want to lower your testosterone…
