First of all a saline implant must be used. This is not as lifelike as a silicone gel implant. Any postoperative complications will usually require another additional incision and resultant scar. The technique is not as precise a procedure compared to the standard approaches. The advantage of an umbilical scar does not seem to outweigh the disadvantages for most Board Certified Plastic Surgeons.

Some degree of pain is normal after Breast Augmentation, I would recommend seeing your surgeon to make sure there is not a serious problem such as bleeding or infection. If these problems are not an issue, observation and monitoring by your surgeon, and supportive treatment of your discomfort, may be all that is needed. Your surgeon will be able to give you the best advice.

In my opinion, it would be best to go into a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon where a full examination can be done. Your breast are asymmetric and if interested there are a few procedures that can be done to give you best symmetry.
