Abdominoplasty with diastasis repair (special case)?
Tummy Tuck
Mar 10, 2015
Dear MarieNoelle,Thank you for your question. Based on the one photo you would get a nice result from an abdominoplasty (or Tummy Tuck). In order to remove the excess skin a cut is required regardless of the amount of fat you have. As for the "faster recovery" - this is based on a patient to patient basis. Everyone is different so be careful when planning your surgery because you do not know how you personally will recover. It is always best to get more than one...
3 weeks post op, I have scar on my boobs after boob job. Should I still wear tape?
irritating tape
Dec 16, 2014
Dear Rachaeltconnor,I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing some discomfort with the tape. It appears red as well. I would suggest putting a call into your PS and making him aware of this. He can offer you some recommendations as to what to switch to after examining the scar to see if there is any risk of hypertrophic scar. Best of luck!
Is the pain normal or could I have an infection?
Infection or no?
Dec 16, 2014
Dear Bell121,Unfortunately without being able to exam you or even see pictures it is hard to tell if you are experiencing early signs of an infection. The best thing for you to do would be to make an appointment with your surgeon to be seen so he/she can do a thorough exam. Best of luck!
2 weeks post op Tummy Tuck, is my belly infected ?
See your PS
Nov 25, 2014
It sounds to me like you are having symptoms suggestive of an infection. Please make an appointment with your surgeon as soon as possible. Best of luck!Elsa M. Raskin, MD
Saggy little tummy. What should I do now?
Saggy little Tummy
Oct 14, 2014
Hi Ashley.w2kids,Thank you for your question and photos. Without question you would benefit from an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). Reasearch and meet with a Board Certified PS to have a proper consult.Best of luck!
What would you recommend to get my desired breast shape and size?
Treatment with no Scars?
Oct 14, 2014
Hi Dessyleemarie,Thank you for your question and photo. Unfortunately your desired result can only be achieved through surgery. This ultimately would result in scars. I do, however, think that you would be improved with a mastopexy and areolar reduction. The best thing to do would be to research PS and find a Board Certified PS that you feel comfortable with. A proper exam would be required to give you the most accurate advice.Best of luck!
My waist is 36 inches,, I am 5'6". How can I get my shape back?
Body contouring
Sep 22, 2014
Hello,Thank you for your question. Without photos it is hard to give any type of opinion. Generally speaking liposuction can be used for body contouring. Now there are many diffeerent options, traditional liposuction, Smartlipo, etc. Do some research for PS in your area. Make sure they are Board Certified and set up a consultation. A proper physical exam would be essential to finding out what your options are.Best of luck!
I now have 'hooded' eyelids since using botox for several years. How can this be fixed?
Eyelid hooding
Sep 22, 2014
Hi,Thank you for your question. I agree with Dr. Park, a photos would be very helpful. However, generally speaking, an upper eyelid blepharoplasty is generally the treatment for upper eyelid hooding from excess skin. Best of luck.
Is it customary to pay in full prior to Rhinoplasty surgery?
Pay in Full Upfront
Sep 11, 2014
Dear Chris1993,Yes, typically surgeons will collect the fees upfront, about 2 weeks prior to surgery. This is not to "get you for your money" rather to ensure that your time slot for the surgery is held, supplies and necessary garments (if applicable) are ordered, nurses, scrub tech and first assist are booked and paid for their time, etc. It is important to build a relationship with your PS so that you know and feel comfortable with them. Hope this helps.Best of luck!
What is the time between consultation to operation for Tummy Tuck?
wait time between consult and surgery
Sep 10, 2014
Dear mcorb,Thank you for your question. This is dependent on several factors. The preoperative work up that is required is the most important. Other variables include availability of the OR/Surgery Center, MD schedule, medications you way be on that can hinder your surgery. You're most likely looking at one week at the very least and several weeks at the most. I would recommend that you ask the receptionist when scheduling your consultations to make sure you...

Old bras vs Desired Bras
Sep 10, 2014
Dear Newfeel,Congratulations on your surgery. As the others mentioned it is way too soon to tell. I do think that once your implants drop you will acheive the result you are looking for. As well, try not to focus too much on bra size. Even once your implants have settled you will likely be a different size in different bras based on the manufactureer. Try to be patient and if you ever should have a concern make sure to see your PS. It is hard to speculate...
3 months post op, my right implant riding higher. Is this normal?
High riding implant?
Sep 10, 2014
Dear Bunny81,Thank you for your question and the photos. It is difficult to tell exactly what is going on without a proper exam. I would suggest that you make an appointment with your surgeon to figure out exactly what the nature of your observations is. Remember, it is almost never too late in the game to fix anything. Best of luck.

Bottomed out implant
Sep 10, 2014
Congratulations on your surgery! While the photo is not exactly clear and there is nothing to compare it to, your breasts seem to have a nice position. While it is still too early to tell the final result, I would not worry too much.Best of luck to you.
1 month post op of Breast Augmentation, my left breast is bigger than the right. Will it even out? (
Breast Augmentation Healing
Jun 5, 2014
Dear Yoshi9,Thank you for taking the time to post your concerns. As you had said, you are only on post op day #1. So it is important to remember that healing takes time! You should give yourself at least 6-9 months before seeing the final results. I know it is hard but try and be patient. As for the size, the actual size of the implants will not change. The implants will setting over time and your swelling will change but it is hard to say if you will have...
Small dent after 3 weeks Breast Augmentation
Dent in cleavage
Apr 10, 2014
Hello Jessjee8,You are way too early on in your recovery to worry about this. Given your small frame in relation to the size of your implants you will likely notice imperfections at this early stage in your recovery process. Give it some time to settle and heal. I would make sure to voice your concerns with your plastic surgeon so that he can give you added reassurance.Best of luck!
