Can clip in veneers be worn over wire braces?
Clip in veneers cannot be worn over wire braces
Jun 28, 2021
The brackets and wires would prevent the clip in veneers from sitting flush against your teeth. Even if they were made to fit over your braces, which would be very difficult, it would force the veneers to protrude very far forward because of the braces being in the way. The other problem would be that your teeth are constantly moving with braces so the clip in veneers would start to not fit after your teeth move.
Haven’t found an answer to my issue. Do I need an appliance or braces for my dental issue?
You need braces
Jun 28, 2021
Braces would help you fix the protrusion of your teeth as well as their alignment. From your photos, you can see that the top and bottom teeth are not aligned, but it’s actually difficult to see if there is protrusion from this view. Usually, protrusion is viewed from a side photo. However, if you feel that your teeth are protruding, then braces would be the answer.
How do I fix my snuggle tooth?
Should be pretty straightforward with braces
Jun 28, 2021
It should be very easy to move that lateral incisor forward with braces. I’m not sure what your bite looks like and if you care to fix anything else besides this one tooth, but if you are desiring only to move this one tooth forward, it should take about 6 months or less with braces. I would not recommend removable clear aligner treatment such as Invisalign in this case because such treatment works best on teeth with larger surface areas. Your lateral incisor is undersized and the plastic…
What type of braces are better for front teeth with short roots? Invisalign or traditional wire brace
Invisalign
Jun 28, 2021
I would recommend either Invisalign or some type of removable clear aligner therapy. The reason being is that the exact velocity of individual tooth movements per aligner stage can be precisely staged out and controlled when designing your treatment plan on the computer. Yes, braces would definitely align your teeth faster, but in your case, slower and more controlled is more desirable in order to prevent further root resorption on your front teeth. All the teeth are connected by the…
Is it possible for gums to reshape into black triangles that show up after Invisalign?
Gum recession is permanent
Jun 28, 2021
The triangular piece of gum tissue that normally fills an area where a black triangle exists is called a papilla. The papilla can shrink and recede in the presence of periodontal disease (bone loss). Once the underlying bony support is no longer there, then the papilla no longer has enough support to occupy the space between the teeth and recedes, leaving behind a black triangle. Teeth that are more tapered in shape with narrower necks tend to be more susceptible to black triangles forming…
Do I need braces? If so how long would I have them?
Braces would help close the gaps
Jun 21, 2021
Based on these photos, it looks like in addition to the gaps, you also have a shift of your lower midline to the left. This usually indicates that your bite is slightly off on one side due to the asymmetry as well but your photos are not showing your bite very well. Depending on what else you have going on, you probably need braces for about 18 months, give or take a few months. I highly recommend going to see an orthodontist for a consultation, which is usually free. They would be able to…
Do I need braces?
You would definitely benefit from braces
Jun 21, 2021
You would definitely see an improvement with the alignment of the upper central and lateral incisor with braces. The upper right central incisor (left side on photo) is slightly longer than the left one and looks like it might be slightly rotated but it is hard to know for sure from the angle of this photo. Braces would help make your two front teeth symmetrical and bring the lateral incisor forward. It looks like you have some spacing on the bottom as well and couple of teeth in crossbite…
