Most surgery centers prefer you do not. Your oxygen levels are read through your nail beds throughout the surgery and recovery. Polish or acrylic nails enables your anesthesiologist to monitor your levels. Some centers may use a ear piece monitor as an alternative. Your surgeon will inform you as to what their center requirements are.

From the photographs, it appears you would be a very good candidate for a breast lift. With a short scar mastopexy (breast lift), the sagging would be reversed and the areolas should be able to be reduced significantly. Be sure to discuss all of your breast issues with a board certified plastic surgeon. Some may even have 3D imaging which may help in your decision making.

A Benelli lift is a procedure that uses a per-areolar incision. It frequently has a flattening affect in the nipple areolar area. The SPAIR technique is a type of reduction. It utilizes a short scar (circumvertical or "lollipop") incision. The short scar procedures tend to give more lift and better projection.

If you are in good health, it is safe to perform this surgery at an ambulatory center. The center must be a certified center like AAAHC and the surgeon needs to be certified through the American Board of Plastic Surgery. These three elements make for a safe procedure. Typically I advise my patients to wait at least 3 to 6 months after they stop breastfeeding, this will allow for the breast tissue to settle down from lactating and the breast to reach the final post partum size. Some women can still express a small amount of milk up to 9 months after breast feeding. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to evaluate your options further.
