Please be patient. Swelling and post-operative inflammatory changes can be unpredictable from person to person and side to side. 8 days post-op is too early to tell. You should have regular follow up with your plastic surgeon to evaluate the healing and discuss your concerns. Best of luck!

Thank you for the question. Based on the pictures you provided I would recommend you lose some weight prior to undergoing surgery. Your final result would be significantly better at a weight of 175-185 lbs, for your height. Losing the weight would decrease the amount of your intra-abdiminal fat (fat around your intestines), which cannot be addressed with surgery. This would make your belly significantly flatter with a tummy tuck. Good luck!

In my practice I strongly encourage avoiding cardio 3-4 weeks post-op and weight lifting 6-7 weeks. Like with any prolonged absence from the gym, you should start slow and gradually increase intensity. Stiffness and muscle aches are normal in the beginning. Good luck on your journey...

Thank you for your question. Hyaluronidase frequently causes more swelling than the HA itself due to an inflammatory response. Swelling should resolve in 7-10 days. You may need re-injection of Hyaluronidase for symmetry and more even dissolution of HA. Good luck.

Based on pictures alone it's very difficult to assess the amount of fat you have to use for transfer. An in person examination with a board certified plastic surgeon can answer that question more accurately, and provide some recommendations and devise a plan. Selective liposculpting of the lower back and flanks alone for example, can result in appearance of increased projection.

I frequently recommend wearing the binder 6-8 weeks post-op. It will especially help during sleep and work. Removing it 6 weeks post-op to take a "peek" will not ruin your results. But as always, please discuss with your surgeon.

It's not unusual to have these symptoms at this stage post-operatively, especially if they're present on both sides. It's part of normal healing and recovery. The scar does appear somewhat hypertrophic and potentially is the cause of pain. I would recommend a visit with your PS to discuss scar care, your symptoms and potential solutions. Best of luck.

It's a very difficult question to answer without seeing pictures and/or doing an exam. Most insurance companies require documentation of back/neck pain, failure of physical therapy, bra strap grooving, use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications and possibly a rash under breasts. They also require removal of a specific minimum amount of tissue, usually >500 grams. That being said, considering your asymmetry and symptoms, I think insurance could potentially cover it...

Thank you for the photos and your question. 360 lipo is just a name to encompass liposculpting of abdomen, flanks and lower back. Basically, it's liposuction completely around your wasteline. In your case, I believe you can get a great result after liposculpting those areas, with or without a fat transfer. Thank you for your question. Your healing progress is completely normal. Based on photos you provided I see no reason to be concerned. I see no evidence of infection or healing problems. At this point the scar is still healing and the redness and itching is part of the inflammatory healing process. The scar takes a full year plus to mature. Make sure to f/u with your surgeon for a full exam.

Thank you for your question. It's important to understand that everyone is different, heals at different rates and the extent of surgery can be different. I typically tell patients to take 2 week off work. That's usually enough time for most people to be able to get back to their normal daily activities. I've certainly had patients return to work after a week too. However, as always, you should discuss your timing and expectations with your surgeon.

You are not alone! Many patients feel the way you're feeling right now. The initial swelling and positioning of the implants frequently gives the appearance of a much larger augmentation. 5 days post-op is entirely too soon to make any judgements as to the final result. I don't see any problems with you taking melatonin prior to surgery. It certainly is a better alternative to cannabis. It's important to get good rest prior to surgery and be well nourished and hydrated. At times I will prescribe my patients a sleeping aid for a day or two prior to surgery.
