Thank you for your question. Based on your picture alone I would suggest a breast lift with a small implant to give you a nice, lifted appearance. Your scalp may be pink to red after the PRP and since you are fair skinned this may last a few hours. Small bumps may also be present immediately following the injections but should also subside quickly. If a local anesthetic is used you are more likely to have mild-moderate forehead swelling. Hair can be transplanted into a scarred area on the scalp. You should be evaluated by an experienced hair transplant surgeon to determine if this is the best option based on the scar characteristics. If the blood supply to the area is good then grafts will do well in the scar.

10 days after Hair Transplant is very early to see growth. Typically, hairs that are transplanted are visible immediately following surgery. However, by 2 weeks without PRP treatment most hairs will no longer be visible at the surface. New follicles will start to grow around 4-5 months. It can take eight months to see the full result of a hair transplant.

Protocols for injections and maintenance vary from provider to provider. We generally recommend three treatments in the first year with maintenance after that. Maintenance is a collaborative discussion based on the patients results and is either every six months or yearly. As always, make sure your provider is experience in PRP specific to hair loss.

PRP works to thicken hair diameters. Many patients notice hair thickening and looking better around month four following treatment. So it may be too soon to measure results. It is always a good idea to make sure your provider is very well versed in PRP. All PRP is not the same. It should be injected in the region of the hair follicles and mixed appropriately.

Thank you for your questions. Cohesive gel implants are silicone implants. In my practice we use Natrelle brand and depending on the patients desires and goals we choose the appropriate cohesive level. As many others have mentions the majority of my patients are getting silicone gel over saline. We are using about 95% silicone here in my practice. Make sure you consult with a board certified surgeon when you are ready to proceed.

Thank you for your question. Congratulations on your surgery! I agree with the other doctors. I tell my patients to wait a full 4-6 weeks before submerging in water and when you do make sure you are still covering your incision and using sunscreen. Always take the advice of your surgeon as well.

At four months, it is still early to see results. Generally, PRP can help with an early and more robust growth of the transplant but this is not the case for everyone. It can take 8-9 months to see results from the transplant. A discussion with your surgeon can always be helpful in evaluating how you are doing at 4 months post-transplant, especially when you have concerns.

In order to make a hair transplant look natural in the front, 1-2 hair grafts can be used and the design should be slightly uneven. This is because no one has a straight line when you look at the hairline. A follow-up with your surgeon to discuss your concerns is warranted as they will know what hairs were placed in the design of the hairline.
