While healing from a tummy tuck you can certainly do some work. At one week you might still be taking pain medicine at night, but during the day you should be able to work on a computer and make phone calls. You will get tired earlier as your body will still be healing from the surgery.

$60,000 is a little high side, but it might be worth it. Remember, it is not what you pay, but what you get. Think of buying a car. A Kia or Honda is a great mode of transportation, however a BMW or Mercedes may be a simply better car -- depending on what you are looking for. Sometimes, more is more.

Unfortunately, the way insurance companies now define something they will cover is based on the a problem creating a "functional impairment." As tubular breasts cause psychological distress most insurance companies will try very hard to deny any claims related to improving the way a breast looks.

From your picture it appears that you need a completely new tummy tuck with extra attention to your interal abdominal wall (the mucular layer of your belly). I revise your previous scars and significantly tighten your abdominal muscles. This would improve things significantly. Then to give you a nice belly button, I would sew this down to the inner layer.

A tummy tuck at any age given that you are healthy enough for the surgery is not a waste of time. Some of my patients want to "look like they feel." So if you are interested, seek a consultation. Make sure your doctor does all appropriate testing to make sure you are in good health though.

A granuloma is a immune reaction to either a foreign body or sometimes to some minor trauma.  It is very unlikely that the popular dermal fillers (Restylane, Perlane, or Juvaderm) would cause a granuloma.
