A fever is a symptom not an illness, get checked to make sure you’re not developing something.Meanwhile drink lots of fluids.Good luck

A fever is your bodies way of fighting off something that shouldn’t be there, it’s definitely a symptom of something else. I would get checked out just to make sure you’re not developing an infection after tummy tuck.
Will see my gp tommorow , my ps is a two hour drive !!
Few things to consider
Temperature will rise to about 99 when you have surgery as the body is very active
Atelectasis or mucous congestion commonly occurs after abdominal surgery as people tend not to take a deep breath. This is around 99-100
Eventually pneumonia can set in which causes higher fevers
Cough cough cough !!!!
Of concern if higher is infection if not pneumonia the abdomen if had only a tuck
Seroma can cause a fever as well and seromas can get infected
Do you have tummy tuck drains ? If do what is color of drainage
If bloody or apple juice color prob ok. If cloudy prob infection
Infections can start 10 days to two weeks after tummy tuck
Family docs don’t do surgery. Go see your surgeon
Thx Doc!!! Drains were out yesterday morning , fever started @ 18:00 that evening 39.2 ! Lasted about 4 hours !! No redness on my scars just tiny redness on my left leg where the garment ends !!!
That’s a high fever 102.5 F
You should be seen by plastic surgeon. You can go family doc but he may miss things
Fever is sub to 37 almost normal, just woke up and now my wound is oozing liquid my corset is all wet on the left hand side !!! SHIT !!
What color fluid ? Apple juice color ? Pus ?
Would say both ? Def. some pus @ wound underneath plaster, is this bad ??

Draining is good you need antibiotic
Soak in bath tub with half cup chlorox
Your surgeon may need to drain more
Check with him to see what he prefers
Lol , sorry from South Africa – bandage ? Use for covering wound, see through and water resistant ! Ooo goody so this is not that bad !! U r a really great doc Michael !! You don’t find that human compassion for patients a lot anymore !

Plastic off, nice and clean took my antibiotic and pain meds ! On the bed RELAXiNG !! Think it’s time For me to ” pass out” now !!!

I’m back in hospital, dead fat start oozing out ! Some bad luck for me ! Have a hole about 3cm now and it’s quit deep !!

Maybe your fever is not related to your tummy tuck surgery, but don’t take any chances. Have your primary care physician take a look.

Thiana it will heal. This occurs rarely. Takes time but heals. Always does.
