I’m still wearing the same pants as before, they are a bit roomier and no muffin top anymore. I am still VERY swollen around my belly button area though. I am 9ish weeks tummy tuck post op.
I can’t stress this enough…. staying positive is SO important! Even when you are dealing with post op pain or more importantly, complications after surgery. You HAVE to find a light at the end of the tunnel. You HAVE to keep a hopeful mind. Some people go through a depression stage, and that’s normal. Don’t compare yourself to your “wish pics” or to others that had surgery. Everyone’s body is different and everyone heals differently. Compare yourself to your pre op self. This is NOT A COMPETITION. Surround yourself with positive people. There is a girl in another group I’m in that is so draining. Every post is a complaint, a negative vibe, a comparison. She asks for advice and when it’s something she doesn’t want to hear, she gets an attitude. She’s had some complications and it’s okay to be unhappy, but misery loves company. If others try and offer uplifting words and sympathetic replies and all you do is respond with more negativity, eventually no one will want to interact with you…… Both online AND in REAL LIFE. Keep it positive ladies. It’s a long process. Be patient.
I completely agree. And 5 days after tummy tuck surgery isn’t the time to decide it sucks and looks nothing like what you wanted. I’m six months and it’s finally right. It takes time to heal.
My tummy tuck complications had me back under a week later and totally changed my results. I’m not happy with them but I went with the best decision for me health. I had bad blood circulation along the incision in my pubic area. But you know what I look and feel a whole helluva lot better than I did 5wks ago. I have to think of what my life was like before. I’m happier now than I have been my entire adult life. I’m 36 and what I spent on making myself look and feel better is priceless.
Second tummy tuck surgery cut out all of this bleeding area. My belly button in now about 2 or 3 inches from my you know what but oh well I’m alive and doing well
Awesome Kristi Sims! It’s a process. Things WILL get better. It just takes time. This is a MAJOR SURGERY. This isn’t an office visit. So much is done to your body to achieve results and it isn’t an overnight process. Some people look great right after surgery, but at the same time…. what did they have done in comparison?? Were they already thin with little skin to remove? Were they fit and in shape with just some minor belly bulge? I’ve seen some DRAMATIC changes in so many people and can understand why it would take MONTHS to even see close to what we consider “perfection”. I went in knowing my Doctor was a surgeon, NOT a MAGICIAN. Take care of yourself. Even if you can’t get in the gym a few months after surgery, go for little walks. Get the blood flowing. A little is better than nothing at all. EAT BETTER. Weight GAIN comes from eating SHIT. If you don’t put crap in your body your body won’t turn to crap. I’ve been SO mindful of what I have been eating since my surgery. I didn’t go through all this bullshit just to blow the fuck back up to my previous weight! Hell if I’m going through all this pain again. lol
Well said!! I think I know who our referring too and I just keep scrolling when I see the name, not what you want to see when your 3.5 weeks out from having surgery!!!!! Always find the positive in any situation, Life’s so much happier that way
Pre I was a size 8. They removed a total of 8 pounds and I’m in a very loose 8. I think I can probably go down a size BUT I just had a hip revision and decided to not even try until that heals up! I’m 2.5 months tummy tuck PO,
I wanna know too!!!
Right now I wear a 13 juniors. I can fit in an 11 but it didn’t look good. I presumptuously bought a size 9 to give me a positive outlook

I had 30 lbs of excess skin and fat removed. Omg I’m a new person literally.
My before pics are hideous. I’ll share them here when I can get to them. Lol they’re not on my phone! Never want to risk someone seeing them.
