Is a vampire facial relatively botch-proof?
Safety of Vampire Face Lift
Jan 22, 2019
A Vampire Face Lift is quite safe.  Since it is your own blood products, there is no chance of reaction to the product.  Placing the product does not require great precision like a dermal filler would.  Assuming that the area is cleaned properly and the blood is drawn and prepared properly, you shouldn’t have a problem.  All that being said, make sure that your injector has sufficient training and experience doing the procedure.
Is this normal 2 days after laser hair removal?
Bumps after Laser Hair Removal
May 20, 2018
Thank you for sending your question and pictures.  Although I can’t say that your reaction is normal, it does occasionally happen.  Some people do get an irritation after Laser Hair Removal.  At this time, I would be nice to your skin.  I wouldn’t shave until it calms down.  Mild soap and aloe would be helpful and soothing.  Regards, Dr. DiPasquale
Does it matter how much time goes between your laser hair removal sessions?
Space between Laser Hair Removal Treatments
May 20, 2018
This is actually a very good question.  Generally, I perform treatments on the body at 6 to 8 week intervals and face at about 4 weeks.  Performing a treatment too soon will not speed up the process.  It may however cost you another treatment in the long run.  When you have a Laser treatment, whichever hair follicles are destroyed during the treatment are gone!  Whatever hair growth you see a couple of weeks later are new follicles that are no longer dormant.  Lasers do not work on dorman…
Hair removal for dark skin: Do laser treatments really work?
Laser Hair Removal and PCOS
Dec 23, 2017
Thank you for your question.  Laser Hair Removal is a very good option for patients with PCOS regardless of the skin color.  It will take multiple treatments.  Please make sure you have your treatments done by a physician with a lot of experience working with darker skin.  Also, make sure that the laser they are using is really for hair removal.  Not all lasers are equal!  Some lasers are better for hair removal than others.  I hope this helps.  Good luck!  Dr. DiPasquale

Hair removal and regrowth
Dec 4, 2017
Thank you for your question.  It is not unusual to see some hair growth immediately after laser treatments.  You will probably see that this hair will just fall out after a few days.  You will get additional hair growth in the coming weeks leading up to your next treatment as well.
12 hours after lip fillers, excessive swelling?
Swelling and Lip Augmentation
Dec 4, 2017
Thank you for your question.  Lips generally have a lot of swelling after injections.  Your pictures do not show more swelling than I have seen.  Ice and arnica are fine but the area should not be manipulated much.  The swelling can last 2 weeks, so don’t make any judgement about how you look until then.  You will see the swelling start to decrease after 2 or 3 days.  I hope this helps.  Regards, Dr. DiPasquale

Swelling after Lip Augmentation
Nov 24, 2017
Thank you for your question.  Generally, lips do swell after Lip augmentation.  You certainly do have a significant amount of swelling.  The swelling can take up to 2 weeks to return to normal.  When I inject, I usually stop after one syringe and have the patient return 2 weeks later to evaluate and if needed will inject more at that time.  If after 2 weeks you are unhappy with the size of your lips, return to your injector.  He or she can help reduce the size of the lips.  I hope this he…
