Is 600cc too big? Do I really need several surgeries to obtain a bigger size?
Is 600cc too big? Do I really need several surgeries to obtain a bigger size?
Jan 3, 2023
Thanks for your question! Based on the photos, it appears that you have grade I ptosis and some mild breast asymmetry. Augmentation mastopexy would be an ideal solution to increase breast volume and reposition the nipple aerolar complex on the breast mound.

in regards to volume, the size of breast implants are dictated by your desires and your underlying anatomy, most importantly, your breast width. In addition, a breast lift and a breast augmentation or opposing procedures. As a...

Can I get BBL to add more butt after butt implants?
Can I Get a BBL after Butt Implants?
Jan 3, 2023
Yes, you can get a BBL after butt implants. There is a small risk of implant rupture as a result of fat transfer. Because most gluteal implants are submuscular, the risk is low. You must also have enough fat to harvest in order to complete a fat transfer. Many patients that elect implants do so because they do not have enough fat!

Make sure you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Would liposuction be the best option to target muffin top? Male, recent weight loss
MALE LIPO OR TUMMY TUCK
Jan 3, 2023
Thank you for your question. Based on the photos, it appears that you have excess skin of the lower abdomen and moderate fat deposits of your abdomen, flanks, and back. In addition, there seems to be component of visceral fat (fat surrounding your abdominal organs - inside fat).

Liposuction along with an energy device may improve the appearance, but is unlikely to completely address the skin laxity.

Ideal treatment would include weight loss, abdominoplasty with lipo 360. The downside is...

Is it normal to have a pre-op breast augmentation appointment via video?
Is it Normal to do a Preop Appointment Virtually?
Jan 3, 2023
It truly depends on your surgeon. I personally see all my pre-op patients in-person prior to surgery. Even the patients that are traveling from out of town. However, it is just my preference. The main reason for the visit is to prevent unexpected surprises and also to ensure I can meet my patients expectations.
Is okay to get a lipo and body sculpting even though I'm fat?
Is okay to get a lipo and body sculpting even though I'm fat?
Jan 3, 2023
Body sculpting is a technique used to enhance your normal anatomy. Body sculpting is ideally done patients with a normal BMI, or slightly overweight as obese patients have a large fat composition in addition to loose skin. Although, it can be done on higher BMI patients that have an ideal figure / shape, it will ultimately be determined by your plastic surgeon at consultation. During the time, your skin quality and laxity can be assessed along with other metrics to determine whether you...
Saddlebags return 3 years post lipo, can you advise?
Saddlebags return 3 years post lipo
Nov 15, 2022
Thank you for your photos, they actually look pretty good. In regards to exercise after surgery, it can be helpful in maintaining your results. More importantly, is that you maintain a good and healthy diet, avoiding excessive carbs (sodas, bread, pasta, candy, juices).

It appears there is some skin laxity which is generally not treated very well with lipo. In cases of mild to moderate skin laxity energy devices have a role in treatment. This includes BodyTite, Morpheus, J-Plasma, and...

I have the sickle cell disease. Should I forget about wanting cosmetic surgery specifically a
BBL in SICKLE CELL DISEASE PATIENTS
Nov 15, 2022
Patients with sickle cell disease are at higher risks due to the underlying red blood cell abnormality. Your RBCs have a decreased oxygen carrying capacity and this can be problematic in the immediate post operative period as well as long term. In addition, because of the sickling of the cells, they can get trapped and lead to tissue ischemia.

Most surgeons would not recommend elective surgery in patients with sickle cell because of the underlying risks, which can also include death.

Am I a candidate for a BBl? I’m 5’9 and 122lbs. I’m 30 years old. I’m looking to get work done
AM I A CANDIDATE FOR A BBL?
May 17, 2019
Thank you for your question.  In general, if you are in good health, you are potentially a candidate for a BBL.  Even if someone is relatively thin, he or she may be a candidate because the procedure is a combination of addition and subtraction and it is actually more about subtraction (removing fat) than adding fat.  By removing fat deposits in the flanks and the lower back, it enhances the shape of the buttocks.  The addition of fat to the buttocks further enhances the look.My response to ...
6 weeks post op BBL, did my fat die? Can this be corrected by wearing proper garment?
DID MY FAT DIE
May 17, 2019
Thanks for your photos and question.  At the 6 week point, you still may have quite a bit of swelling and very early on in the healing process.  I usually inform my patients that it can take several months before the swelling is gone sometimes longer.  I encourage my patients to wear their compressive garment for at least 4-6 weeks to help aid in shaping. My response to your question/post does not represent formal medical advice or constitute a doctor patient relationship. You need to co...
Does taking Xarelto mean I can’t have elective procedures?
Does taking Xarelto mean I can’t have elective procedures?
Mar 29, 2019
Thank you for your question.  Taking Xarleto does not mean you cannot have elective surgery.  However, patients with a history of DVTs and a recent pulmonary embolism is a contraindication to elective surgery.  Typically, your surgeon would consult with a pulmonologist / hematologist  managing your pulmonary embolism and decide when if it is safe for you to stop taking your blood thinner and proceed with surgery. Some surgeons may just decide that you are not a good surgical candidate give...
How can I fix my damaged under eye loose skin?
Loose Eyelid Skin
Mar 29, 2019
Thank you for your question and your picture.  There are various options to treat aging of the lower lids.  Based on the photo above, fillers could be use to restore the lower lid volume along with laser resurfacing to tighten the skin.My response to your question/post does not represent formal medical advice or constitute a doctor patient relationship. You need to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon in order to receive a formal evaluation and develop a doctor patient relationship.
I am 5’7 and 260 pounds. How much weight should I lose before a BBL?
I am 5’7 and 260 pounds. How much weight should I lose before a BBL?
Feb 25, 2019
There is no exact weight for any give procedure.  However, your weight and height can be used to calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI), which is an indicator of your health status.  BMI greater than 30 is considered obese.  Patients with high BMIs have higher complication rates.  I personally exclude most patients with a BMI over 30.  However, there are exceptions, which means that BMI is not always a good indicator for overall health.  In general, the closer you are to your ideal body weigh...
I am wanting to get a BBL and Breast Augmentation at the same time in April. What are the pros
What are the pros and cons of doing that?
Feb 16, 2019
Thank you for your question.  Cosmetic surgeries can be combined and performed safely.  Many factors are taken into consideration including:* Patients overall health* Length of the operation* Type of procedure performed* Recovery (patient positioning) & comfort* Surgeon preference / comfortabilityThe biggest advantage is it saves you an extra trip to the OR, and possibly cuts down on the overall cost.  In this case on disadvantage is postoperative positioning because you cannot lay on yo...
Would you recommend Fleur de Lis or Standard Tummy Tuck?
Would you recommend Fleur de Lis or Standard Tummy Tuck?
Feb 15, 2019
Thank you for your question and photos.  Based on the photos above, a traditional tummy tuck with liposuction should be able to restore your abdominal contour.  Fleur de lis abdominoplasty is used to correct both horizontal and vertical excess of skin and fat.  In the photo above, most of the excess is in a vertical dimension and can be corrected with a traditional abdominioplasty.  My response to your question/post does not represent formal medical advice or constitute a doctor patient rela...
What's the best method of correction for my breast reduction and lift 9 months ago?
What's the best method of correction for my breast reduction and lift 9 months ago?
Feb 12, 2019
Thanks for your question and photos.   I'm sorry you are not happy with your results.  It appears that you have hypertrophic scarring around your nipple areolar complex and the IMF.  This can be a tough problem to treat because of the high recurrence rate and you may have a predisposition to hypertrophic scars and keloid scars.  Scars can take up to a year to mature.  It may be best to wait for the scar to mature and then consider scar revision.  In the interim, steroid injections can be use...
