Can I achieve an hourglass figure? 100lbs lost
Hourglass figure hello
Feb 24, 2017
Hello NikWorks,
I think a belt lipectomy and some fat transfer would be good for you.
Overall you look good and a lower body lift will make you look really nice but I wouldn’t promise anyone an hourglass figure, that has a lot to do with bone structure, hips and rib cage, I can’t examine you so I can’t say . But I can tell you a belt lipectomy or lower body lift will make you look great.
Good luck and best wishes

What physically happens when there is dehiscence of the lateral canthus (aka “fishmouthing syndrome
Dehiscence of the lateral canthus??
Feb 23, 2017
Hello Bleph Leppard
Your problem is intriguing, transcutaneous quadbleph was done by whom , meaning what type of surgeon? Oculoplast, dermatologist ,plastic surgeon??
The lateral canthus is the confluence of 2 tendons one from the upper and one from the lower eyelid. It is attached to the inner part of the lateral orbital rim in line with your pupil. Its hard to imagine that being disrupted by a transcutaneous procedure. When I fix lateral canthal problems I am usually…
Do I need breast implants for fullness? Or should I opt for a lift and stay natural?
Implants for fullness?
Feb 23, 2017
Dear Chocolateskye,
If your breasts are full and fluffy a mastopexy alone will make them 1 size smaller without liposuction . If you are looking for fullness in your upper breast you may want implants and a small reduction. It’s hard to tell from your photos but there are many options open to you. You won’t lose much weight from liposuction of your breasts. Implants come in all different styles and shapes, you need to talk with your surgeon and decide what works best for you.
Good…
Hollow eyes after upper eyelid surgery?
Hollow eyes after upper eyelid surgery
Feb 23, 2017
Hello, I’m sorry to hear about your results and distress. If you have NO upper eyelid fold then the levator muscle to your eyelid may have disinserted, this can happen spontaneously with age or in removing the medial fat pad. Or the muscle may be traumatized and need more time to recover. Hollowness can be fixed with microfat grafting but 1st address the lack of lid fold with your surgeon. If you restore the levator function you may not look hollow. Talk to your surgeon about your concerns…
I am 94lbs, 5’1″ & very petite. I am wanting to go big right now, I am a 32A & I have two children.
Is 400cc a good size
Feb 23, 2017
Hello RPressely,
You’re 94lbs and 5’1 hmmmmmm. A 400 cc implant is heavy for your size. The implant diameter needs to be within the measurement of your chest width. Implants come in many profiles, moderate, moderate plus, high profile and ultra high profile. You might be happiest with an ultra high profile implant because it gives the most projection or change in cup size with a narrow width. You’ll probably be a d or dd, you should also use a textured implant because there is a risk of…
What should I do to fix my breasts?
What to do to fix my breasts
Feb 23, 2017
Hello Ann,
I understand your breasts are uneven and bother you. There are many options but at your age I would recommend lifting the right side to match the left. It would make your nipples even and could be done with a minimal procedure.
Warm regards
Rebecca Jackson M. D.
If I have uneven breasts, what are the chances that my nipples will point in different directions e
Breast augmentation making nipples even more asymmetric
Feb 23, 2017
Hello E.star,
A breast augmentation augments everything including asymmetries. In my practice I usually do an augmentation first, sometimes with different sized implants. I like to let the implants settle for 6 months or more, then reevaluate, the nipple areolar complex can be moved if necessary but it’s best to see how it looks and how you feel about it after 6 months. I think you can have a very nice result looking at your photos. Carefully choose your surgeon and understand what…
Tuberous breasts and double bubble risk: What procedure do you suggest?
Tuberous breasts, what to do ?
Feb 23, 2017
In my practice I’ve seen many patients with tuberous breasts. The fact that your breasts are tuberous has nothing to do with a ” double bubble”. That problem occurs when a large implant is placed and the inframammary fold is released to make room for a large implant, that fold is where your brazierre touches your chest wall inferiorily. Releasing it to place a large implant causes a “double bubble”. In my practice I use gel implants above muscle to help stretch skin and let the breast…
What can I expect after an Upper and Lower blepharoplasty?
What to expect after upper and lower Blepharoplasties?
Feb 22, 2017
Upper and lower blepharoplasties can be done in 2hours as an outpatient surgery. I like to tighten skin on a lower blepharoplasty with a peel or a laser, so I see patients back the next day. Upper eyelid sutures are removed in 3 or 4 days and lower eyelid skin is healed in 3-4 days. I usually see patients back on days 1, 4 and 7 and then at 3 weeks. You cannot drive yourself the day of surgery or the day after because of drugs and swelling. No strenuous activities that raise blood pressure…
Can laser resurfacing remove wrinkles from under the eye?
Laser to remove wrinkles from under eyes.
Feb 22, 2017
Hello KissBeth,
I use 2 techniques to remove under eyelid skin, depending on the depth and severity of wrinkling, patient age, and skin color. Without seeing you or even a photo, I usually use a very strong TCA peel , which I do myself, on younger patients with mild wrinkling, faster and easier recovery . If the wrinkles are deep and there is a lot of XS skin I like the Erbium Scion laser. Its a much deeper treatment with a longer recovery but has dramatic effects. So you may be a…
Can I have a baby after a full body lift?
Baby after full body lift?
Feb 22, 2017
Hello Carameline,
The health and size of your baby should be just fine after a full body lift. The real problem here is that you will lose the results of your body lift, which is in part an abdominoplasty. Even after surgery and tightening your abdominal wall it will stretch as the baby grows very slowly as well as your skin. So I would wait until you are done having children and then fix your abdomen/hips. You’ll get a long term result that will last and you won’t waste your…
If you are having brachioplasty, breast lift with augmentation, body lift, & thigh lift, is it nece
Necessary to Body Lift First??
Feb 22, 2017
Patients with massive weight lose often need all those areas addressed , I usually work on whatever is bothering my patients the most. There is no reason that a body lift or belt lipectomy needs to be done first. Start where you are comfortable and in the areas that most concern you. Good luck with your upcoming surgery!
Rebecca Jackson, M.D.
Would a belt lipectomy (lower body lift) help me?
Would a Belt Lipectomy Help?
Feb 22, 2017
Thank you for your question. A belt lipectomy is a circumferential abdominoplasty and is extremely useful in gastric bypass patients. Basically your hips are removed as a wedge of fat extending down to back fascia, if your buttocks is sagging some of this can be used on its blood supply to fill up a saggy buttocks. It also helps with lateral thigh sagging by raising that tissue. Once the back side is down we turn you over and address the front with a formal abdominoplasty rather…
Is there an unevenness or distortion after a facelift?
Uneven after Facelift Procedure
Feb 22, 2017
There are many different ways of trying to lift faces. Recently many non surgeons have been using fillers and sometimes fat, this can certainly be distorted and irregular. Deep plane facelifts like and endobrow/midface seldom result in distortion or irregularities because they are not close to the skin surface or involve moving large skin flaps and creating “dog ears”. Traditional face lifts,as well as mini facelifts are done in a plane that is close to the skin surface and can result in…
At 25, would a facelift be the thing I am looking for to remove a double chin and a fatty jawline?
Facelift or liposuction
Feb 22, 2017
At your age I would do something simple like liposuction. Your youthful skin should have the ability to scar and redrape nicely without all the scarring from a facelift. You aren’t ready yet!
Best of luck

Rebecca Jackson, M.D.
