Regrets after tummy tuck

Hi. I’m having a full tummy tuck with a breast lift and implant on June 6th. I’m terrified. Does anyone have any regrets? Anything I should know?

I had my tummy tuck yesterday…feeling better than I expected. My plastic surgeon is doing my breasts in 6-8 weeks. He suggest its better to do them separately. Better results.

  2. Roni says:

Had a full tummy tuck and lipo almost five weeks ago. No regrets except not doing it sooner.

Ok thanks. I’ve had 3 c-sections but for some reasons am really scared of this one. Maybe bc I wasn’t put to sleep for the sections. And I’m scared I won’t like the results.

  5. Roni says:

Why weren’t you put to sleep? Do you have issues with anesthesia?

  6. Stephanie says:

That’s just how they do sections, at least in Ohio. I used same doc for my first 2 and switched for my 3rd. Both did it the same way.

I am a little worried about the reaction to anesthesia. I was put under 12 years ago when I had my wisdom teeth removed. I didn’t have any complications but I awoke in a hysterical state, crying about the blood on my prom dress. (Prom was in 3 weeks) I was just out of it and am a little worried that will happen again. When I had the sections, I was awake but still didn’t have that great of a reaction. The first 2 times I was in and out of it, not making sense when talking, shaking and cold. The last section was much better. I was up and eating in recovery, and talking coherently.

I had a full tummy tuck & 500cc Silicone implants done. The 1st 4 days were rough…After that? Totally easier. Just take your time with recovery. I have no regrets 10 days PO. I see my flat tummy and fuller bust and I’m extremely happy.

  8. Roni says:

In that case you had an epidural. I was put out for my first two c sections but awake with my third.
Yes, thus is something you should defiantly discuss with your plastic surgeon.

  9. Sarah says:

Btw…I’ve had 7 former surgeries due to car accidents and c-sections. You have the right to talk with anyone treating you. Talk about your fears with your anesthesiologist. I did because I have a tendency to wake up mid-surgery. I too was awake for both c-sections…that’s standard I believe.

May 22 I had Fleur de Lis Tummy tuck, arm lift, mons lift, and breast lift. No regrets. Make sure you follow all of your directions. Don’t overdue it, but do move around so that you tummy can stretch back out so you can stand up straight. Turn that fear into excitement! You will love the results!

8 months out on a full tummy tuck…no regrets what so ever! After you get through the first 2 weeks you’re good Just hang in there and know that the pain is temporary. Good luck!

  18. Stephanie says:

    Thank you!

  19. Michelle says:

It was just that I could get around very well for about 2 1/2 weeks after tummy tuck. I had alot of pain. Normally I bounce back from surgery pretty well, butnot 4 the tummy tuck. But it was worth it..

  20. Stephanie says:

What’s the pain like? Worse than c-section pain?

  21. Roni says:

I want in on this LOL… I had three csections.. This TT was piece of cake in comparative

  22. Dana says:

Tummy tuck is a piece of cake compared to c-section ??? Whoop whoop I’m so glad you mentioned that. That is VERY reassuring.

  23. Roni says:

Well why i feel so, is because with a csection they cut through more layers including muscle.we all know that. With a tummy tuck it’s all superficial. Yes you still feel pain, but it’s not even close to a CS

  24. Stephanie says:

    Like Dana said, very reassuring!!

  25. Sarah says:

See? I thought the tummy tuck was worse than the c-sections. However it could be that I had new babies to distract me. With this there’s nothing else to focus on. Lol
