LOTS – slept in a recliner, bed didn’t work for me for quite a few weeks, everyone is different of course, when I did manage to get into a bed I had to build a “ramp” for my back and head with pillows and a pillow under my knees as I just couldn’t get comfortable when flat, as it pulled too much on the tummy and muscles. Gradually able to sleep flat by about the 12 week mark approx.

    So invest in pillows

  3. Tracy says:

Yep pillows are your best friend for a while. And always make sure you have a small pillow or folded towel with you to hold against your belly for support when you have to cough in the first few weeks!

  4. Amber says:

    That’s pretty much like a c-section

  5. Tracy says:

Yep but muscle repair makes it even more “tender” I’ve not had a C-section but I’ve heard others say the tummy tuck with MR (muscle repair) is a lot tougher recovery

  6. Amber says:

& I’m having the body lift I’m so nervous

  7. Tracy says:

I’ve known one other lady who had the lower body lift, she found the recovery not too bad at all. We all get nervous beforehand, totally normal, and once its over our “just get on with it and deal with the recovery” mode kicks in! We are all here to listen to you and support you before and after Amber so make sure you come and rant or just chat depending on how you are feeling throughout your tummy tuck recovery!!

I found tummy tuck pain way worse than CS pain
