TT operation

Your excellent health and active lifestyle make the recovery easier. A consultation will review options from aggressive mini to full.

A small amount of liposuction centrally and on the sides will enhance your curves. See an experienced plastic surgeon. (William C. Rigano, MD, Dayton Plastic Surgeon)

Good Candidate for a TT operation

While you do have some loose skin, you also seem to have a fair amount of intrabdominal fat, which is fat inside your abdomen around your intestines.

This causes a bulging out of your abdominal muscles. If you do a tummy tuck operation  now, you wont have a flat stomach because of the bulging muscle.

A TT operation

Muscle plication won’t completely flatten your tummy because you can’t tighten it enough to make it flat until you lose weight which will decrease the intrabdominal fat. Bottomline, you would see some improvement doing it now, but you would get the best results by losing weight first. (Donald Griffin, MD, Nashville Plastic Surgeon)

Unfortunately, from your photographs it appears that you are significantly overweight and therefore not the ideal candidate for abdominoplasty or tummy tuck surgery.

Ideally, this would be someone close to their ideal weight who has changes in their tummy that will not be improved with healthy eating or exercise, however those should be part of everyone’s lifestyle and certainly those who are seeking a more attractive body.

That being said, your time and money would be far better invested at this point in time to addressing the changes in your lifestyle that would get you on your way to achieving the body your are hoping for.

Invest in a membership in a good gym, and consult with a qualified certified personal trainer who can advise you on a proper customized exercise regiment to help you achieve your goals.

Similarly, you should consult with a registered dietician or nutritionist who can advise you on what changes would be best to incorporate into your and your family’s diet.

Realistically, many patients do not successfully achieve their weight loss goals, but even if you have reached a plateau at a higher than desirable weight, it is best to make that effort and commitment first. Body contouring surgery, be it liposuction, tummy tuck, or some combination may still play a vital role in helping you achieve the results you are seeking but it should not be viewed as a quick fix option, but rather a complement to a healthy lifestyle. You have lot of abdominal skin overhang which is corrected with a TT operation. But from the photos it appears that you need to lose weight to get the best and safest result. (George Lefkovits, MD, New York Plastic Surgeon)
