Tummy tuck after first son

Hi ladies! I’m new to the group and I’ve been thinking about tummy tuck surgery as well as implants since my first son was born. I’ve lost about 60lbs and still going but my stomach just isn’t tightening back up. My husband is on board but I don’t really know what to expect. I do have a job where I am on my feet for about 9 hours at a time 3 days a week. Realistically how long do I need off? What should I look for in a surgeon? Here’s my “before” I’m hoping I’ve lost enough and worked enough to where I don’t need major ab repair but I’m not the expert!

I totally understand! You’ve come to the right place for help. I am scheduled for mine in November so I don’t know much yet~ so we are both starting our journey

9 hours a day is a lot to ask. It was probably 4 months before I could have done that. Usually, ( around 3 months) I still needed to sit in recliner around 3 pm for a long time. Wore binder constantly. I was exhausted.

I looked just like you before my surgery

You prolly only need a mini tummy tuck , do they do muscle repair with that , and they say after two weeks only half days at a sitting job

You look great as you are. I’ve just had a tummy tuck because I had to to fit a stoma. I would never recommend it to anyone unless for medical reasons. It hurts like hell I’m having huge problems I can hardly move. It’s been 28 days since surgery and I still struggle to just stand up and down.
You have a perfect tummy be proud of it. Trust me it’s not worth it I would never of done it had I known. Xx

I think you would love the results. I took off 6 weeks but could have done it in 5. i am 4 mo post op and returned to full work outs at 8 weeks. Everyone is different of course. Take the plunge and go see surgeon!!

  11. Latai says:

At LEAST 6 weeks. I would shoot for 8 if I could through.
